  1. I love all the quick wit and humor. The point is some of us love drum corps and enjoy watching it grow and evolve. And, some of us love drum corps and don't want it to change. We all love drum corps.
  2. AS YOU STATED IN ANOTHER THREAD YOU HAVEN'T BEEN TO MANY SHOWS THIS YEAR. YOU HAVEN'T SEEN EVERYBODY. I HAVE. THEIR ARE MORE BAND KIDS THAN I CAN REMEMBER. I'M NOT THAT FOND OF AMPS, NARRATION AND VOCALS. BUT WHEN A LEADER OF A MOVEMENT STARTS PULLING COMMENTS OUT OF HIS BUT TO MAKE A POINT. THAT MOVEMENT LOOSES CREDIBILITY! IT'S EASY TO BAT SUGGESTIONS AND COMMENTS DOWN, EVEN GOOD ONES. BUT, DON'T MAKE UP STUFF! PEOPLE WILL STOP LISTENING TO YOU.
  3. I JUST THOUGHT I'D BRING THIS BACK UP TO SHOW YOU WHAT FRIGGIN EXPERTS WE ARE! LOOK OUT FOR THE EDITS!
  4. I saw Phantoms amps and speakers too. Great weekend of drum corps in SA. great company too ;o)
  5. I saw SCV twice in San Antonio. First from section 113 row 24 seat 9 in the day show. Then setion 312 row 8 seat 9 in the evening show. I agree their music was powerful and gave me chills. But, once I got upstairs, I think their visual show is holding them back. The horns and drums were as great upstairs as they were downstairs But in my humble opinion, I think visuals are keeping them down. But man! I got goose bumps watching them! Raw Power!
  6. I travel to Europe alot, one big concern. 135 KIDS AND JETLAG! It takes about a week for me to get back to normal after traveling from France to DC. I hope they'll be OK. They've been in Europe a long time.
  7. Cadets perform twice on finals night and beat themselves!
  8. It's July 1st but... Cadets 98.725 Devils 98.25 Madison 97.65 Cavies 97.325 Phantom 96.80 Blue Coats 95.425 Vanguard 95.35 Boston 93.20 Crown 92.675 Glassmen 90.90 Colts 89.725 Crossmen 88.965 This is all BS. But, Hey, We're all experts! Right?
  9. I marched in the Oakland Crusaders in the 70's We had probably one of the best drum major/ showmen in all of drum corps, Joel Allen! He was the heart of that Corps They also had one of the great drum lines of that time run by Tom Float. Chris Metzger of Madison 75-76 fame latter taught the horn line with Wayne Dillion, 76 Seneca Optimist soloist. I hope that helps a little. Do you know Don Schapero he worked 27th food truck in the 80's?
