  2. I would think they should be soon - Colts were on at 9:16 with only 4 corps to follow them
  3. A line of severe weather has just passed through Northern Illinois all the way down to my area (60 miles south of Chicago) and is heading East/Southeast at approximately 50 miles an hour - hope all these corps are able to get to Bloomington tonight without any trouble
  4. Hey Diva -- she may be one of the guard girls that went home last week

  6. Well, please stop by the souvie trailer before the show on Thursday so that i can meet you.
  7. Good evening Diva. Have to keep thinking positive thoughts. And I know the entire Colts family has faith in the 2008 Colts. I was just wondering about this upcoming week and hopefully able to see some DCP'ers that I have gotten to know this season. I will be leaving to drive down to Bloomington on Tuesday mid-afternoon. Hope to be at the corps housing site in time for the evening ensemble rehearsal. When will you be arriving in Bloomington/Indy? Also, are you staying at Bloomington or Indy. I will be in Bloomington at the Hampton Inn.
  8. Thank you so much. I talked to my daughter last night, the members are remaining focused, however last night's performance was unusually hard since it was the first performance without the old front field conductor!! I have faith in them, like Colts Cooktruck Diva said "i know they can, i know they can....
  9. I am just hoping the Colts can pull up their boot straps and keep going. They have had a terrible past 2 weeks. Last week they lost 3 guard members to injury and Friday they lost a drum major. I just hope they can move past these losses and keep getting stronger. GO RED TEAM!!!
  10. Ok, but for us Illinoisan's U of I is University of Illinois - GO FIGHTING ILLINI!!!!
  11. This is my daughter's fourth year. Every year at the last run through by the end of the ballad most everyone on the field and in the stands watching are in tears. Both happy and sad tears. The kids realize they will only be performing this show one more time and you as parents and or fans realize it is going to be the last time you see it live. It is a very emotional time! And when the corps is dismissed after the final corps meeting of the season the tears begin to flow again. These kids have spent almost 3 months together 24/7. They are a family. Imagine saying goodbye to a family member until November or whenever the banquet is. That will most likely be when most of the members will get together again. A week will go by and things will start to get back to normal for the members, but there will be a hollowness inside all of them for a long time. If your friend is an age out this will be especially hard. If not, he/she has next season to look forward to. Hope this gives you some insight on what your friend is going through.
  12. Me too, I will be in the souvie trailer with Mary and Paul. Hope to meet you there. Well not quite an 85 but still going up, and oh so close to Xmen and getting closer and closer to Gmen and B/K.
  13. Couldn't agree with you more!!! Will you be joining them in Bloomington??
  14. Talked with my daughter tonight too when they were on their way to the show site. She is rallying for a vets meeting tonight - and asking for some rehearsal time tomorrow before they go to DC. She is hoping there are no more changes and they can start to really clean!!!
