  1. Okay then---to your friends in the Northeast, you'll still be known as "Joe" When in the "south" we'll refer to you as "Burt"--or "Bandit" if you'd prefer GOLD 06!

  3. I marched in the Garden State Circuit in 1973 and 1974 with the Saints. The Saints were the 1974 Garden State Champions---still remember winning the title. Once the corps won the title, they left the circuit like most other corps did at the time (Muchachos, Bridgement etc) I continued to march with the Saints until 1976.
  4. Keep checking our website for our "Tour" schedule. Hint: most of our member's definition of "barbecue" will be different by the end of the summer. B)

  6. Carolina Gold recruits in the fall at area band competitions many times there are two/three competitions in one weekend. In the winter, we recruit at indoor guard shows. This year, the corps will be utilizing a "brass ensemble" which will perform at indoor venues, art openings, and community events. The corps also holds a family/friends fundraiser and has gotten one or more high school bands involved. Great idea about doing a concert with a/few high schools.

  9. Happy New Year! Looking for something to do this Saturday 1/7/06 from 10am to 7pm? Come and attend Carolina Gold's rehearsal. The corps has a new home in Nash County, NC conveniently located off Route 95, a highway which connects the entire east coast. All Carolina Gold rehearsal are open rehearsals. Anyone is welcome to attend, practice, help with support, or just hang and talk. Terrific organization, wonderful people, more great things happening in 2006.   12. John, your Carolina Gold "no cut policy" explanation was eliquent, but did you really post it at 2:30 in the morning. If yes, please go get some sleep. You are back in PA now, you are only required to stay awake into the wee hours of the morning when you are in NC.

  15. Thanks Thom for the photo of the Wildwood boardwalk. Despite the snow I can still hear "Watch the tram car please" Wildwood has many marching memories for me. From the parades, to the field competitions, to the chapter championship at the convention center. Many friends,many good times.
