  1. Jim Brady, Al Chez, Jeff Kievet, Chris Metzger, Jim Centurino! THE BEST HANDS DOWN!
  2. I took my friend to a DCI East show, which she hadn't been to in quite some time. I told her about all the changes that had taken place especially the electronics. Well the first corps she saw was Spirit which used and electronic bass and to say the least, she was breathless . When Phantom came on and she saw the electronic violin, she said she had enough, and walked out.
  3. Great job to both Jeff and Kevin for over coming the technical difficulties, providing great live coverage of the DCA Prelims! Maybe one day, we will be able to view video of the whole show from our computer.
  4. Thanks for that information. I am surprised that a song was not listed in the 1968 repertoire. It just slipped through the cracks I guess. Thanks again!
  5. To Blue Star alumni and fans. Just looking to find the name of a song the Blues Stars played in 1968. The Blue Star's Web site lists that their concert was "Hall of the Mount King: and their exit was "Up, up and Away". If you listen to the 1968 VFW Nationals, Vo.l 2 in which they are on, there is a song which they played "out of concert" and is not listed anywhere. It's a pretty catchy tune. Any one know what the name of that song is?
  6. Jeff Kievet, Muchachos, Bonnie Ott, Blue Devils Jim Brady, Saints, Bridgemen Al Chez, Saints, Cadets ^OO^
  7. Best recording for DCI In my opinion...1974. The quality and clarity are excellent! Another quality recording...1971 World Open Vol 3 Anaheim Kingsmen, Santa Clara Vanguard, Casper Troopers, De La Salle Oaklands!
  8. Does anyone know if there is a recording available of "Latina" by Katsuaki Hirai (corpsrep.com)? This piece was performed by the 1968 Royal Airs and 1971 Blue Stars. The song is driving in my head and I can't shake it! Any information would be greatly appreciated!

  11. Glad to see that so many Saints are reading this forum. This one to Kenny Chiocchi: (UMMMMMM I remember my pants falling down at a show.) That was at the 1974 Dream. The first time that we were ever in Roosevelt Stadium. I remember one of the Drum Majors (Jane DePinto) had to assist you with pulling up your pants! Jimmy Pic

  14. I was wondering if anyone has heard anything on the Chicago Royal Airs Alumni Corps. They are not on the line up for the Alumni Classic in Rochester. I show them last year and it was like a dream come true to see them. Jimpic75
  15. I received an Ipod for Christmas and recently subscibed to This Week in Drum Corps Podcast 2005. I thought that Kevin Gamin did a great job. Thanks! When will the podcasts begin for 2006 season? I can't wait.
  16. Saw BD last night for the first time with "narration". For me the jury is still out. I got into the music and looked through the narration. Personally, I enjoyed BD more than the Cavies, but again, thats just my opinion. I will see BD again at the Meadowlands, and at Semi and Finals.
  17. Let's not forget that the first World Open was held at Roosevelt Stadium in 1963. Jr. Winner: Blessed Sacrament Golden Knights. Senior winner:NY Skyliners. Belive it or not, this was held mid September 14-15, 1963. My 1st Dream 1970 Wished I could have been to 1966 Dream, 1966 VFW, and 1969 (One of the last apperances of St Lucy's).
