  1. Here is a glimpse at the Hypnotix Drum & Bugle Corps new horns. http://www.hypnotix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=108
  2. Its not that it takes 24 people to put the show together. The design team puts the show together. The 24 staff members clean the show.
  3. Just a quick report on Hypnotix... We just bought new Kanstul horns and Dynasty drums. Its going to be an exciting year for Hypnotix!
  4. I will only comment on things I know about. All other queshtions should be put on the Hypnotix forum and our director and asst. director will answer what they can. According to our website, YES! we will be in Madison. Plans are to take a full tour.
  5. If you all haven't heard of Hypnotix yet, we are fielding a corps this year. The link to the web site is in my signature.
  6. Can I vote for Autumn Leaves again? I really love that song!
  7. Autumn Leaves! The falling leaves drift by my window The falling leaves of red and gold I see your lips, the summer kisses The sunburned hands I used to hold Since you went away the days grow long And soon I'll hear old winter's song But I miss you most of all, my darling When autumn leaves start to fall Since you went away the days grow long And soon I'll hear old winter's song But I miss you most of all, my darling When autumn leaves start to fall I miss you most of all, my darling When autumn leaves start to fall God I love that song! Love the standing O half way through the show that the corps got in 87. The song wasn't even the closer.
  8. If you haven't been on the field at finals, nearly every corps has cell phones out. Let the kids call loved ones on the best night in drum corps.
  9. You "shed a tenth" in a build up system by not performing to a standard you already set. Also know as off nights. Finals is not what you have scored in your season, it's what you do that night. I think people tend to forget that. It's about that night.
  10. Thats an awful big spread for Madison to have them. Probably should have been a closer spread then. Any weird phasing or anything to cause some low scores?
  11. I think it's a reference to the 14th place finish in 2002.
  12. "The Bluecoats are a 501©(3) non-profit corporation based in the Akron/Canton region of northeast Ohio." http://www.bluecoats.com/about_mission.asp Coats have texas camps, but they are not from Texas.
  13. I remember leaving stuff on the field after finals. I also remember the Cavies staff in a hurry to pick everything up so they could perform there encore.
  14. A pic of SCV and Bluecoats pit members. The unis are very similar. I think SCV should change them. Just so they can look a bit more diffrent.
  15. It ask to pick a player on right side of the site. Maybe you missed seeing that.
  16. "Starting off with sirens ... lots of 'em. Opening toss has two drops." BD Blog about Scouts show. Also, Coats score only went up .2
  17. "Up next, BLOOOOO!!!! This is by far the best year in their history. Some jazz runnin' in the Caravan opener. Drum line is featured right away. Opener tempo is VERY fast, 200 bpm? Color guard flashing red. Cool bell tones by trumpets with harmon mutes. Snares switch to some small tymbali-like thing. Drill is now a snake curve extending from front left to back right end zones. This whole show is VERY fast paced, must be exhausting to play. taka-tera-tiki-toe chanting. Hornline playing fast sixteenth runs and building a pyramid, nice! The whole Blue Coats organization should be very proud of the improvements this year. They have come a long way and have developed an entertaining and winning style. Congrats!" From Blue Devils web blog. Just for your reading plessure.
