  1. From my understanding is they are looking for a new Director of the corps.. this may have led to some problems. I dont know for sure though.
  2. Its not a first that three Canadian Corps have made 2/3 Finals before.. 1989 Bandettes, Academie Musicale, Ventures, Kiwanis Kavaliers 1990 .. Academie Musicale, Ventures, Kiwanis kavaliers 1992 Kiwanis kavaliers, Academie Musicale, St. Johns 1993, St. Johns, Venutres, L'Insolite 1994, Kiwanis Kavaliers, L'Insolite, St. Johns 1995, Kiwanis Kavaliers, Les Etoiles, Les Demension, Academie Musicale 1997, St. John's, Les Senatures, 3rd regiment im sure there may have been years beofre that, and now you add.. Dutch Boy, Pride of the Lions and Allegiance Elite (2005) its been a while and I am SO proud of those corps and all the other Canadian corps still competing
  3. There is so many Div 2 and 3 corps I miss.. the competition would be insane.. if some corps were able to come back.. I marched div 3 in the 90's and I loved it.. it would be so nice to see some of the corps come back.. I think a lot of the times.. 2 and 3 corps.. put so much into their shows.. and work so hard.. I wish they got more recognition. I REALLY wish the corps were able to get more funding and sponsorship.. I just think if some corps if not almost all of them were back, the 2/3 comptition would be much bigger.. but its wishful thinking I guess.. I could wirte a list of the corps Id like to see back.. but it would take forever cause their are so many.. that I miss seing on the field. Glad to hear that Americanoes, Bandettes, and MGC are re-entering the field.. sad to hear that Court of Honor is not. :( I hope Strutters and LVk make their way back.. it would be awesome. I was glad to see Revolution back on the field this year. and Lake Erie Reg.
  4. ok now on another topic.. I know its almost a month since DCAs was.. but.. I was sort of bored at work. :P and my mind started wandering.. and.. I decided that I would post.. who I thought should have finished where... and how I thought it ranked entertainment wise.. and how I thought it ranked guard wise (cause im a guard guy) Ok so official placements 1. Buccs 2. Empire 3. Bush (1 point penalty) 4. Brigs 5. Renegades 6. Minnesota Brass Inc. 7. Hawthorne 8. Carolina Gold 9. Corps Vets 10. Hurcs. A Class 1. Chops Inc 2. Govenaires 3. Aliance My rankings were 1. Bucc's 2. Bush 3. Empire 4. Renegades 5. Minnesota 6. Brigs 7. Hawthorne 8. Gold (tie) Corps Vets (tie) 10 Hurcs. A Class 1. Chops Inc. 2. Aliance 3. Govenaires Entertainment wise. (this is strictly personal opinion, I thought it was one of the most entertaining years at DCA's) 1. Bucc's 2. Renegades 3. Minnesota Brass 4. Empire. 5. Bush 6. Brigs 7. Hawthorne 8. Carolina Gold 9. Corps Vets 10. Hurcs A Class 1. Chops Inc. 2. Aliance 3. Govenaires Colour Guards 1. Buccs 2. Bush 3. Empire. 4. Minnesota 5. Brigs. 6. Hawthorne 7. Hurcs. 8. Renegades 9. Carolina Gold. 10 Corps Vets A Class. 1. Aliance 2. Govenaires 3. Chops Inc. Hmm.. I thought I would share this.. I don't know why.. but like I said I was bored at work at it got me thinking about this stuff.. and I do think that Dca's is getting more and more entertaining and this year was a deffinetly good year.. not a boring moment at all. B)
  5. ok just stating... my two cents.. I only called it as I saw it.. and that is what a judges job is as well.. is to call it how they see it.. I dont think anyone should bash there own corps.. in a public forum especially. Its like an manager yelling at a sales rep (in a department store) infront of customers. its just not cool to do. Im sorry if things didnt go well at prelims for your corps, but dissing your own corps in public.. just isnt right.
  6. I hope it doesn't I really hope it doesn't.. I would have to agree with a lot of ppl.. that if woodwinds become part of DCI I will not be attending DCI shows. Its hard enough for me to accept voice amplification... woodwinds.. would be it for me.. I would just attend DCA shows if DCI allows that in.
  7. I love the Nightmare before Christmas show.. one of my favorite shows by Bush to date.
  8. Sorry Correction I meant the Lehigh Valley Chieftans
  9. Im sure this kind of Posting has been done before.. and will be done again but thinking about the past year .. I have a list of Corps Id love to see back in Competition. Feel free to add on to this list. Guelph Royalaires Kingsmen Capitol Brass Excalibur Chicago Vanguard Sr. Sound Of Long Island Grey Knights Nightstorm Soundwave Les Dynamique Generations Lehigh Valley Knights Steel City Ambassadors Les Metropolitain Westshormen and corps that are still competing that I would like to see either again or come to DCA for a first time... River City Regiment SoCal Dream
  10. Ok I know this is going to sound stupid.. but their is a Christmas Song called "Mary Did You Know?" that would make for a beautiful ballad IMHO
  11. If A and Open are two totally seperate divisions now (as I understand it) why cant the A class be judged on different sheets.. I know in Junior.. div 2 and 3 are on different sheets then Div 1, so why are A class and Open on the same sheets? Just a question out of curiosity.
  12. Congratulations on your first time out.. my dad and I were impressed, great way to start DCA's IMO.. you looked really good. you guys have a lot to build on.. awesome to see you out. Looking forward to next year
  13. The thing that amazed me was that the worst 'fans' were members of alumni corps. One would think that all the years these men had spent in corps, they would know the etiquette of being at a show, yet they were walking up and down the stairs in the middle of shows, yelling to their friends sitting ten rows up, talking loudly and laughing at certain corps performances. I think I would've appreciated sitting in the middle of a kindergarten class at this show more than I did these people. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree as well. The gentlemen (IM being nice) sitting beside me in finals.. still had his alumni uniform partially on.. and he wanted to come in during a show.. and I wouldnt let him.. oh did he have a grouch on for me.. but I think.. that if anyone should know corps etiquette it would be the alumni guys., but I guess that theory is out the window. And as for the making fun part (or laughing at).. thats not cool.. the memebers work SO hard all year to perform.. they do not deserve that from anyone. wheather your a fan or not of a particular corps.
  14. Ok..DCA's and what a weekend.. on many different levels. Just to let ppl know I was not around for all of prelims.. but I didnt miss any corps this weekend.. if I didnt see them in prelims i saw them in finals. So it all worked out.. First of all.. weather.. may have been a little cool at night.. but perfect conditions none the less. The setting of the stadium is so beautiful.. I love it there on the hill. One thing that really annoyed me more so in Prelims then finals.. is that ppl (people) kept moving during corps performances.. It annoys me because.. it shows disrespect for the corps. and the ppl sitting around them.. I was raised that.. if a corps is performing.. that you wait until they are done to go to your seat.. and the announcer did make mention of not moving during performances. One thing that really upset me... and I hope I dont offend anyone here.. but it was really upsetting .. that there were no ambulances in attendance.. at prelims.. I have never been to a show where they didn't have them in attendance.. it was very heartbreaking that when one was needed.. none were there. Ok.. now on to the corps Im going to do this sort of weird.. so bare with me. Im going to start with non finalist corps.. and then move to those who advanced. In reverse order of finish Mon Valley Express. There were seven new corps in attendance, at this years DCA World Championships and among them was Mon Valley Express. I do remeber these guys were very little.. Im not sure if they were the tiniest corps out there.. but they were little. And all I have to say is.. good effort.. you did very well.. very glad to see you guys on the field and be putting forth a great effort. I do have to say to the only member of the guard.. that i was very proud to see you doing your best.. its hard to be an all time soloist.. and you did well.. good job. Shenandoah Sound. This corps reminds me of some Div 3 corps.. in the thought.. that they go out there do there show.. no matter how big or how small they are.. and have a ton of fun doing it.. It seems like you guys just enjoy beeing out there.. and that to me is a true performer. :) The one down side.. is that once in a while the odd member seemed a little lost.. but.. none the less great effort. Nice to see you there. Gulf Coast Sound. Nice to see you guys again this year. I love the show concept of "Pulse" your back drops were very cool. I just felt bad that some of them blew over. Very unique guard equipment with the pulse shaped poles.. Very creative. Guard was very dirty though. and seemed very lost in parts.. The brass even came across as lost in the music at times. but I still think.. that you put forth a great effort.. and you seemed to be happy with your show coming off. Good job. Lakeshoremen. Another new corps on the field. And first corps on in the day. Pretty impressive.. If I heard the announcer right I think he mentioned that this was your first competition. If this is true,, then very good job. In all honesty it was a pretty good sound and a very nicely done especially for being the first of many things. First time at DCA, first time in competition and first on the field.. nice job. White Sabres.. Another new corps on the feild this year at DCA. I have seen you twice already so I was looking forward to seeing you again. I must say .. you could see a bit of nervousness on the field.. didnt seem as relaxed as I had seen you in corning. I think the nervousness may have led to little mistakes here and there.. but nothing major, aside from the nerves.. it was performed very well.. and on a whole it was great to see you again. IMO you had a very successful season and I look forward to seeing you on the field next year.. Heat Wave. I never really know what to expect with this corps.. and this year was no different. Hmm.. what to say... your brass was not as enthusiastic.. (might not be right term) as I was hoping. I was waiting for a moment.. to say.. wow.. that was cool. but I dont think I really ever got a moment like that from the brass. and the guard was shaky at times. The drum line.. was very good though.. and no matter what. This corps always goes out and perfoms... and always goes out and has fun.. Music City Legend. Here is one more new corps for you.. and I was very impressed. They had a very decent sound and a very entertaining show. Their guard was a bit iffy at times but managed to pull through. There drill was done well from what I saw.. and they really performed.. I actually thought that they would have made it into finals.. but alas (unfortunatley) I was wrong. Excellent job looking forward to seeing you next year. A class Finalists Aliance. One thing that really impressed me about this corps was their use of the guard and visiuals (I guess thats more then one :P ) There guard was very good and IMO thought they had top guard in prelims. I love the big flags you use in the middle of your show, so much colour. (Canadian spelling of color) This brass line was a bit quieter in prelims. your really seemed to step it up a notch in performance at finals.. I thought personally you guys had overtaken Govenaires (really shows you I dont know much about this sport.. I just love watching it) Im glad you made finals.. great show . Govenaires. I can say your guard was strong.. very nice guard.. the brass line was ok.. actually a smaller sound then I thought I would hear. Your drill from what I saw seemed to be executed very well. However I found that your prelims performance was better then your finals. At finals it seemed you were a bit flat at times. None the less enjoyable show. Chops Inc. Ok this is not a new corps, but it was there first time at DCA's and again I was very impressed. Nice sound VERY entertaining, well performed. I did think they deserved the title. Love the arrangement of "Tommy." Im just wondering what happened to the ball at finals? Guard not as tight as Aliance or Govenaires, but deffinetly had good style, and performed very well. Excellent job and Cogratulations on your win Onto OPEN Class Frontier. The last of the seven to enter the field for the first time at Chamionships. It was an enetertaining show. Very simple.. but recognizable music.. I remeber (for the most part) there being a nice sound coming from the brass line, the guard was ok, but lacked a little bit of confidence.. but did pretty good out there. The most important thing.. is they seemed to perform and enjoy doing there show. Good job Sunrisers, Unfortunatly, I dont remember much about their performance. I think the problem was.. it just seemed there wasnt much excitement to the show. It was pretty clean visually from the looks of things.. but it lacked performance I think. From what I do remember, the guard as much as they were off in spots.. they looked good in a lot of places as well. Kilties. What do you say about Kilties.. I think anyone would agree that there performance was the most emotional perfomance of the night. You could see and sense that ppl were pushing to get through there show without out crying or losing there focus. I will also say that this has got to be one of the most couragous shows I have ever seen performed.. there was not one person in that stadium that was not behind this corps. Fan or no fan.. everyone was behind them 100%. You showed what its like to be in a drum corps .. I am so sorry for your loss.. my thoughts and prayers are with you guys. Thank you for showing me.. that you really are a family.. and that is truly what drum corps is about. Skyliners. Hmm I don't know what to say.. They really didnt grab me at all. There was just nothing overly exciting about this show. I did like however the bright yellow flags in there show (I think they were at the begining.) I don't know what it was.. maybe it just seemed flat. But.. I do think they put out a strong effort and good for them. Rochester Crusaders. I did this time see improvements made.. the only thing is that they never seemed to be full steam through the whole show. they seemed to lose it a bit in the middle. But the guard IMO.. did make a lot of improvements.. it was cleaner through out the majority of your show. the end was stil a bit shaky.. wish you had one more week to clean the last 30 seconds or so, but the rest of the show was much better for the guard. Nice to see you back, looking forward to seeing you next year. Kingston Grenadiers. Well again a better show then what I saw in Corning. Visually, it seemed to be a lot better then what I saw the prior week, and the guard seemed to perfome more and some of you actually scared me a bit.. (hehe :P ) The brass seemed to hold up all the way through.. and you gave a little more umph to your ballad. I think what changes you made deffinetly went in your favour instead of hurting you. Excellent job looking forward to next year. And now the finalists. Hurricanes. In prelimes.. I thought it was close between Grens and Hurcs, I couldnt make a prediction on who I thought should have been on top, the guard was VERY clean in prelims.. but seemed to lack a little performance. Brass seemed to holding back just a little bit... the drill was a bit dirty when I saw it. In finals.. the performance was much better, the sound was there, you were hitting your forms better, I just all around enjoyed it better. Unfortunatly as the guard performed much better in finals they were not quite as clean. But overall finals was much better good job. Corps Vets. In prelims it seemed to be an all around flat show.. more so at the beggining then towards the end.. The guard was very dirty (I havnt looked at captions but) I thought Hurcs had your guard in prelims (and finals) Come finals.. you guys also seemed to perform much better then I saw in prelims.. The brass had a more open sound.. and more exciting, the guard, throughout the first half seemed a lot more clean then in prelims.. but the second half, not quite as good. Drill seemed to be pretty tight. Overall finals was more exciting. Carolina Gold. Tough for you guys to go on the field after what happened with the member from Kilties. Just as a side note.. the guy booing Gold.. (for re-warming up after that incident).. was being a bit rude.. maybe things could have been handled differently, but what were they supposed to do.. if they went on the field with that being the only thing on their mind.. it would have been a bad show for them. They had to stay focused on their job if they were going to perform. I think Prelims was a good performance for this corps. Just like Corps Vets.. their guard was very dirty in prelims, but my theory is that some memebers had problems with them getting caught on the uniforms. So with that said... I love the guard uniforms... but felt they interfeared with their equipment. Brass had a nice sound and drill was pretty good.. I do think that finals was not that much better but I still think it was a good show. The guard was cleaner but still had some issues, with there equipment. I did however think that, Corps Vets may have caught them but I knew it would be close. Congratualtions on your first appearence in Open Class finals. Cabelleros. I have to admit that buy this time.. I had so much going through my mind I don't remember much about this show. (during prelims) so most of my coments are from finals.. I still don't know how to feel about the show.. I wish I had seen it a few more times this year. Parts of it I loved, but to me there wasn't enough of the Cabelleros that I am use too. Still the same look.. and same style of drill and such. I think it was the musical selections they chose.. With that said.. I can say it was a pretty entertaining performance. I love the guard uniforms.. and I love the flags of this corps.. and there was a hint of traditional Hawthorne there.. which was cool. Nice overall sound from the brass.. the drill however did seem dirty in spots. One comment to a sabre soloist.. you were a focal point cause you were in the middle of the brass line as they were in a circle around you.. I was impressed by you, you perfomrand, you had confidence and control (both nights I do remember) and your solo was very well done. Minnesota Brass. I left before they came on the field in Prelims so I can only comment on there show from finals. And what a nice show, I love this show. VERY colourful with guard uniforms and flags and such. Brass sounded so nice.. very rish sounding, I love the music, Pat Methany. Well performed.. only problem was the weapons seemed to have some troubles holding on to your equipment. Other then that i loved it Renegades. This is the point when I had to leave at prelims (not by choice :( ) so corps from here on out I didnt see in prelims only finals. WOW can this corps ever blow your face off. What I sort of don't like about this corps it that they keep things almost too simple in my opinion.. and a side from weapons having some problems catching... this show was VERY VERY entertaining. They know how to perform and make a crowd stand up for them. The crowd loves them and looks forward to them every year.. This year I did enjoy them quite a bit.. It was very good... The cool thing was when I got in my car after finals.. the song on the radio was "nights in white satin. " Great show. Brigadiers. IMO.. rough start.. but got better.. You know this show just never fully grabbed me and said "LOVE ME ######" (sorry I am a bit of a nut), but It had some really good moments. Hmm.. the guard really impressed me in Syracuse.. but they seemed to struggle a bit tonight in weapons. but still they performed through it all. I thought it was a good performance from them. GREAT JOB. Empire Statesmen. I know I know they finished second.. but they went on before Bushwakers.. so Im typing it this way. :P I did like this show again tonight.. I thought they deserved to be in the top three.. I think I said this before they know how to tell a story and they did it this year quite well.. I think it was a very good performance.. again a lot better then what I saw in Corning. It was a great performance.. and I didn't see a lot of drops.. so good job. Bushwackers. Hmm.. this show was well performed and from what I saw clean.. very clean.. I wasn't sure if I would like this show or not.. (I didnt get what was going on with the music at the start when the corps was warming up... it was a bit strange but oh well) but I did enjoy it.. first time in a while that I have liked what they produced. IMO.. if guard was based off of execution they would have won.. cause I don't remember seeing one drop and they were VERY clean. Overall a great show.. and as much as I loved them trooping the stands I hope that isn't what caused the penalty.. even though Im sure it was. GREAT SHOW. Buccaneers. WOW.. they just blow me away WOW... this corps was amazing.. their performance was wonderful.. deffinetly deservant of the title.. they did have more demand then any other corps on the field.. and the emotion form that ballad.. Im speachless about the ballad. Deffinetly the NICEST moment on the field this year.. I made mention that Bush's guard was cleaner and they were.. cause Buccs had way too many drops in there show (and breaks).. and some recovery times were slow.. but when in comes down to performance.. and composition.. Buccs were on top. This corps was on fire tonight.. musically.. it was wonderful. Congratulations. So thats my review sorry its so long.. but.. its all good. B)
  15. my Guess is 1. Buccs 2. Statesmen 3. Bush 4. MBI 5. Brigs
  16. yeah well..thanks so much... but because of health problems.. can't quite do it this year.. Im not saying they arent trying.. I know they are trying there hardest.. I know what it is like being out there.. I think there are parts of the show where this person.. is doing quite well. I remeber though my first year out on a field.. I couldnt do a full show either.. heck I didn't do a full show until I was in the activity.. until my fourth year marching. so Im not saying it to be mean and Im sorry if it came accross that way. Which Im sure it did. And im not dissing the Grenadier staff.. I love the staff they have this year.. and I love the music.. and show.. so if you found what I said offensive.. I appologize.. and as for my parents and ppl around me they didn't say anything about this person, but you know what Im still intilted to my opinion. And for that fact why arent you on the field this year? All i did was give an opinion.. and for that fact.. I gave the grennies guys a good review.. so no need to jump on my back. And if I was mean.. again I appologize, but i've got to be hinest about how I feel. I will appologize to the staff, in the fact that Im not trying to tell them what to do, thats it from me right now.
  17. I was wondering what was going on.. when I saw all the corps members in the stands heading to get ready and then seeing them return.,.. :P but.. Its just not a complete show.. if its not a full corps retreat.. :(
  18. Hello It's me again with another review.. So lets start... Venue.... nice little place.. It never stops amazing me.. how this little highschools can have such nice fields.. anyway.. Weather.. well before the show.. I thought if it got any more windy, that you would see some of the guard members go flying with their flags. Crowd.. very energetic. very appreciative crowd. FIrst up was the Corning East High School Band.. my only comment was. they gave a good effort.. but you can tell they are still learning. Good luck to you guys in the band season. Ok now with the Corps.. 1. Empire Cadets.. little exibition corps. really really cute.. and not to shabby either.. they were actually pretty good. And the tiny little ones in the guard were so adorable to watch.. The crowd really appreciated the performance.. and effort of this corps. 2. White Sabres. First competing corps of the night. A lot better then last week.. a lot of improvements made. All sections were improved.. deffinetly stepped it up a notch. Guard was looking better and the brass seemed to sound more into it.. good job.. IMO.. could be a deffinet contiender for the A class title and or finalst at least. 3. Kingston Grenadiers. Two corps in and two big improvements. The corps on a whole was looking better.. More energy through out... more energy at the end.. the ballad sounded a lot better. There is a couple of issues here. ONE the ballad.. even though it was a lot better..it seems to not have enough umph.. but apparently the corps wants to keep it soft.. so cool. And there is one person in their guard that even when the guard is shakey he still sticks out like a sore thumb.. he needs to be pulled from a few parts of the show. My other problem.. is the compared from last week.. they did make some improvements and didnt get the score for it.. IMO. 4. Rochester Crusaders. Ok there were improvements..and their was more right at the end... but you can still really sense that the brass is losing steam right in the middle of the whole thing. I still think IMO that they were not as good as Grennies.. and there were ppl around me and my parents(we sat in different areas) saying the same thing.. but.. none the less.. they always seem to give everything in there shows.. and I can deffinetly appreciate that. I will give a corps credit when they perform a show. 5. Buccaneers. Well what can I say, the deffinetly had the nicest moment of the night. and probably of the whole competing field.. which I will find out next weekend. The other corps to be rained on.. which led to some problems with the guard.. not just drops but wipe outs. I still say kudos to this guard.. cause I do think it is one of the most demanding guard books.. that I have seen this year (keep in mind I have only seen 7 corps) and amazing looking flags. this corps still had gorgeous sound.. and good control through out the show.. I think they are very deserving of beeing on top. 6. Brigadiers. Hmm.. I dont know what to say really. I thought they were good.. I did not see to much improvment.. the guard seemed to struggle a bit tonight, but I will give them a little leeway because Im sure the field was a bit wet.. and it could lead to some slippery equipment, and wet flags.. which can make things difficult. Now the brass did seem to have a better sound then syaracuse.. and... the ending sounds so good.. I still feel like you could give a bit more.. in parts of the show, but it was better then last week.. so good job. 7. Empire Statesmen. I thought this corps stepped it up a notch.. they did a much better performance this week.. More sound more fun.. It just seemed they let it out last night. yet again I dont think they got the score for it.. Now this wasn't a very high stadium so I might have been missing something visually, but I didn't think that Brigs had gained that much ground on them.. but nonetheless.. I did really like there show tonight. And will look forward to seeing them at finals. Ok the only other negative I had was.. I think it should have been a full corps retreat. Yes it may have rained earlier on in the night.. but .. It only rained for a short time.. and I don't think long enough to make a drum majors only rertreat. Lets just hope that next weekend (finals) it gets to be a full corps retreat.. it's the only way to go.
  19. Thank you for letting me know about the review page. I didn,t see one when I first looked.. so it's awesome I know where to post now. If I have a review :)
  20. Hello Everyone. This is my first time posting anything, but I am going to give my own attempt on a review of the Syracuse show. My seats were on the third level.. six rows up on the 50 Weahter .. threatening to rain.. but heald off till the last corps was done performing. 1. White Sabres. first year out.. and looking pretty good.. It was entertaining to watch and you could see the corps enjoys performing. I will deffinetly look forward to see this corps again at Scranton. 2. Kilties, well the sound of brass was good, recognizable music. but every time I see them I still wish they would give me more. It just seemed a little flat to me tonight, maybe it was just me, but they did seem a bit flat. Other then that enjoyable. Im a guard person.. so I will say, I like the guard unis... and the flags.. if you guys can clean it up.. it will look really good at finals. 3. Grenadiers. I am a bit bias when it comes to this corps.. since I did march there.. and my brother still does. When I saw them at rehersal.. I was a bit worried. BUt they seemed to come out with an energetic performance. They guard was looking pretty good most of the show.. there is a few week moments.. but I know that you will work on that and it will improve. Grens seemed to be get a little tired right at the end.. but other then that it was a very good show. The guard looked so dark.. I even heard the lady behind me say they looked a bit scary. Well done. 4. Crusaders. Good to see them back. IMO I didnt think there were quite as good as Grennies, but I did think it was close between the two corps. I wonder if the guard learned some new stuff cause near the end of the show.. it seemed like they were struggling a lot.. it seemed they were confused. Other then that, their guard was ok. The brass had a little more sound then Grens in some part.. but seemed to have a lot less steem at the end of there performance the Grens did.. and it caused your last moment to be not as exciting as I think you were hoping for. 5. Empire Statesmen. Very good show.. Always enjoyable to watch. I love how they manage to put an actual story on the field.. very well done.. the guard looked pretty good tonight. Semmed to struggle in a few parts .. but nonetheless performed well as always. The brass had a very nice sound tonight. but for some reason.. there was once or twice.. where I thought they were holding back.. again maybe just me.. but who knows. But deffinetly.. one of the most entertaining shows of the night. GOOD JOB p.s. It was my friend Jeff's first time at a drum corps show ever and you were his favorite of the night. 6. Buccaners. WOW... is all I have to say. I have not been a big fan of Buccs in a few years but last night.. impressed me totally.. there sound and look was amazing. The ballad "Adagio for Strings" gave me chills. Im still feeling it. You have deffinetly made me a fan this year. Im really looking forward to this show at finals. Guard look awesome.. only one problem with this guard. TOO man drops (IMO) other then that great.. Wonderful show.. I see why your on top. 7. Brigadiers. Nice show from them. I think the cleanest guard of the night (IMO) but like Statesmen in a few spots it seemed like you were holding back a little. I dont know why, but with that said, I did think that you guys in parts had a bit of a fuller sound. I didn't see to many drops in this guard so that made me happy. over all.. it was a pretty entertaining show.. Good Job. Drum Majors retreat cause of rain.. but at least the rain held off till the end. Sorry if it's long winded. But I just wanted to share what I thought.
