  1. 6 points?! whoa. well, penalties aside, their *show* score went up 12.55 points from their first show last weekend in pittsfield!! nice, BIG jump. .....does anyone know why they recieved such a huge penalty?
  2. wow!! go Citations!! I'm very happy for you all! definitely a corps full of very nice kids, staff, and volunteers. I miss sharing the Norwood police station with ya'll during the 4th of july weekends haha. Best of luck!!!!!!!!!!
  3. I hope I'm not mistaken in telling you this, but I believe the show was cancelled earlier this week. I was actually going to go to the show and am very dissapointed that it's not happening. I think it was due to some facility problems :(
  4. Vision Elite and Cadets of New York City are two different organizations. V.E. is under the Brooklyn Music and Arts Program, which CNYC was not. (The only relationship that existed was some help that BMAP provided for CNYC during their last year of being active). It might seem that they are the same to some people becuase the people who have worked hard to bring V.E to the world of drum corps either helped or were staff members of CNYC. So, although they have some of the same staff, they are a new and different organization with a new board, new staff members, and definitely a ton of new kids. If you go back to an article published in May on DCI.org, the director of BMAP was quoted, saying how we was "looking forward" to introducing V.E.'s members to drum corps and DCI. look here That is a clear indication that they are NEW and are a different program. hope this makes some sense lol
  5. Even tho probably no one from the corps even reads this, I wanna give a shout out & say Congrats to the very new Vision Elite on their first DCI SHOW EVER!!!! :)
  6. Vision Elite is a new drum corps branching out of CNYC. New organization and exec board, some of the same staff and members, as a good number have gone to bigger divisions, playing with such corps as The Cadets (congrats)... GOOD LUCK, have fun, and represent V.E.!!! :)
  7. Cadets of New York City... open house/registration/auditions Nov. 6th 12-6 321 Ashland Place Brooklyn, NY :)
  8. In your respective opinions, and thru your experiences, What do you feel is ONE WORD that describes how to have a successful drum corp season? (I kno there are many) I say: CONSISTENCY.
  9. The best part of my season was the night before the Manchester, NH show. We had our best run thru ever! When the show ended, and I gave them the cut off, it took me about 5 seconds-literally- to realize that my arms were still up and my jaw was dropped. I was in total shock and had goosbumps all over. It was an amazing feeling. :)
  10. not gon' lie....cnyc's 2003 rendition of LENTO was awesome.
