  1. SCV 1990: We were up in Oregon or Washington during 1st tour. After a somewhat bad performance, Gail said that there was going to be a corps meeting when we got back to the housing site. As the whole corps sat on the gym bleachers waiting for the staff to arrive and chew us out, I noticed that my duffel bag was unzipped. I went to my bag and mumbled something about my wallet being missing. Word spread and just like that the whole corps was on the gym floor taking inventory of their stuff. A lot of people had stuff stolen that night and I remember the loud groans as a person discovered something missing. I believe someone had their 89 championship ring stolen, too. Needless to say, staff didn't come down on us that night.

  3. What I remember from that year was the extended roll sequence in the closer. If I remember correctly, there were a whole bunch of 6's, then a 5 going into a 9, a couple 2's, two 6's, a couple more 5's, then decrescendo 6's. What made it even cooler was that we went into a scatter drill right after that first 5. Of course, on the broadcast, right when the scatter starts, they cut away to another shot. Another memory: in the middle of tour, in I think Dallas, we received a shipment of the first-ever Pearl freefloater snares in the sweet copper color.

  5. Chip Webster actually wrote Mr. Adamson's Monkey. Also, Martian Mambo was written in '90. If I'm correct, it made its debut at the Concord Pavilion show.
