  1. I was lucky to finally catch part of a show! I loved Sky! You pulled it off! Drill & a gag, so kool! Sky snares rock in any number! Jomba is a LEGEND! Great show SKY!
  2. Lisa, I have no video of the CG performing, I barely had time to set up the video on a tri-pod, as you know my first priority is shooting stills........but Jackie George was shooting from the grandstand & has the CG performing. I will try & put them both together on a DVD ASAP!
  3. When Mother Nature chimed in on the Tournament of Stars, we had no choice but to let her close the show on cue! Enjoy our Finale: HYPE....Its a Bridgemen thing.
  4. The Bridgemen Drum Line speaks for itself! Believe what you see & hear, your eyes & ears don't lie! The only thing the Bridgemen EVER faked was fainting in mass on the field! Anyone that knows or knows of Dennis Delucia or Dubie, which by the way are still with us, know that there is no way in the world, they would let even one written note be played incorrectly, let alone faked! For your viewing & listening pleasure, please click on the below link for a current taste of a current Bridgemen Drum Line member introduced by Dennis Delucia: HYPE....................It's a Bridgemen thing.
  5. The BRIDGEMEN ALUMNI DRUM & BUGLE CORPS were in Bayonne of course! Video of our performance of TAPS at the reviewing stand is at: HYPE
  6. Condolences to the Parker family. I didn't know Bill, but thanx to byline & my Bridgemen brother Dan, I got the next best thing. The stories need to be told while we can still tell them.....................John N
  7. Moe Knox has documented drum corps since I can remember from back in the mid '60s! If not for him there would not be much of a record from back in the day! I chatted with Moe at our home show, The Bridgemens' The Tournament of Stars, June 2007, it was like talking to the Beatles, Elvis & Jimi Hendrix all rolled into one! http://bridgemen.smugmug.com/gallery/3052700#166218747 Moe IS the MAN! It was an honor to say the least! We talked photography, the old days, the new days, he is just a living legend! While shooting photos of the Bridgemen during our show, he taps me on the shoulder & he gives me pointers on the way I should compose the drum majors photos! I tried his suggestion & of course he was right! We have to give him his props by sending him to the Hall Of Fame where he belongs, while he can still appreciate it! 8. Lisa, how can I say no to you? I will try to make the rounds. Thanx Charlie, I missed that one, so Duff gets his props in well deserved stereo! BTW perfect directions to Veterans Stadium, but a major FYI, parking is scarce in Bayonne even when the Bridgemen aren't performing so........ if you can't find a parking spot, continue down Ave A to 16th St, make a right & go down the hill & park, there is a shuttle leaving every 15 minutes that will bring you to Veterans Stadium.
  9. Yes Jim you are a great PR man! All props to the Skyliners Drum Line, I enjoyed them at the Bucs show & can't wait to see them at TOS! Jim forgot to mention one of our own who's in that historic Sky drumline, Jim "Duff" McBride! And yes Dennis, I ment shots as in the photographic kind, but you can buy me one, I won't complain, honest! ..........................John N
  10. Thanx Charlie & George for the practice info, it will help with the pictures, now if I can get in at the Arts Factory without a cover charge for a few shots.........
  11. Where are the TOS corps rehearsing when they get to Bayonne? The weather report for Bayonne on Saturday is mostly sunny, highs in the upper 70's, followed by heavy entertainment ending with extreme HYPE! Chance of fun through out the evening ending in food, drinks & stories of the DC kind centered at 9th Street! Be there or just hear about it!
  12. The pre TOS party at the Post was GREAT last year, but the post TOS party at the VFW Post was UN-HYPEn-BELIEVABLE! Long seperated friends getting a chance to talk & exchange war stories & updates of life while still riding the high of a performance of performances! This year, Post 226 Commander Glen Flora has re-arranged the furniture in the upstairs bar & stocked the newly constructed downstairs bar in preparation for the festivities. The Bridgemen can still entertain on the field as well as off the field, but the fun never stops and if you want to see for yourself, check out last years VFW 226 pre & post TOS party pics in the Social Events gallery at the Bridgmen Tribute Site http://bridgemen.smugmug.com/ I hope to see some old friends & make some new ones that night, my camera will be doing OT & the Internet may have to take a deep breath when the Bridgemen once again host the 2007 Tournament of Stars.................................John N
  13. Nice work Kev as always! Good Luck........................John N
  14. For those who couldn't make it, take a look at the pics at: http://bridgemen.smugmug.com/ ............................John N
