  1. Wow, Heat of the Day... That's a tough piece of music.
  2. Remember Todd - it doesn't matter how many players you have in October. Labor Day weekend, my friend.
  3. Wow, what a great turnout today!! Thanks to everyone that showed up and played some awesome music with us!! I hope you all had a great time! Man, it sure is fun to play loud!!
  4. OK today's the day!! I hope to see a lot of you at the class! It's gonna be a blast!
  5. I'll be there dude!! Who else is coming?? SOUND OFF!! You non-Bushwackers out there...you do know that this class is open to EVERYONE, regardless of what corps you're in, right? Come down and play some cool stuff with us, and have a great time!! PS - the beer is REALLY cheap for after-rehearsal relaxing time!! $4 pitchers of Yuengling!!
  6. Nice!! I can't wait to design some new merchandise for the corps!!
  7. This is the year, Bush!! Another season, hopes are high...
  8. Seriously - the March from the movie 1941 is AWESOME and can really show off your brass section as far as technique goes. It's John Williams, so it may be tough to get the rights to it, but I'd really look into it. I found it on you tube for you to listen to - the video is the opening credits to the movie - also the same movie where the Cadets got Swing Swing Swing from from their 1995 show.
  9. Of course, you're more than welcome at the Open House! Sorry you can't make it to the class though....get to us when you can - we'll always be here! We have members from every direction around Bush, there's a few of us that are SW. Unfortunately at this time, we're not having any more Master Classes - I wish we could accomodate you and the others. It's a hard time of year to get a lot of people to the classes because of marching band and other commitments.
  10. Don't forget, everyone!! The next Brass Master Class is October 26th at the Ridgefield Park Elks Lodge!!! It'll be here before you know it - the last class was a success, and the next one has even more interest!! Come down and have some fun with us. It's gonna be fun!!
  11. You're gonna have a hard time selling that. It's nowhere near big enough for a flat screen LCD. It is a beautiful piece though. Is that an original Nintendo on the bottom shelf there? I bet you could sell THAT faster.
  12. Good. Now you must join. Oh wait, you're already on support staff. Kinda.
  13. Bump, because I have a new shiny banner. Click on it. I dare you.
  14. Yes, it's kind of frowned upon on message boards. You see, if there's already a topic posted, and someone else posts the same topic, the boards get clogged with too many of the same topics, and the more important ones get pushed down, people get irate...it's quite annoying to some people. Not really me per se, but well...there it is. And please refer to Ms. Duguay's above response to my "newb" comment. I wish more people would learn simple netiquette terminology. Of course, with you having only 215 posts, I understand why you didn't know the term yet. Carry on.
  15. In case you didn't see it, there is already a thread about this on this page. You can find it here, newb. http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/inde...howtopic=118630
  16. This is true. When I was in Sun, we had a member fly up from Florida every weekend... Of course, there's also the Japanese contingent that marched Cabs when I was there too. When it comes to quality drum corps, people will come from far and wide to march. I hope that we get some people from the outer reaches of the planet to march Bush! And the inner reaches too.
  17. I said "we" because I was in the corps in 2003 when we played "The Prayer" sung by Andrea Boccelli. Also...I'm of the school of "once a ________, always a ________"
  18. Nice choice Cabs!! Hmm...remember the last time we played an Andrea Bocelli ballad?
  19. Thanks for the feedback, Liz! It actually looks better when it's 8 1/2 X 11 - it IS the shrinkage. "The water I saw swimming in was very cold..." $1 to George Costanza
  20. Yes, the large contingent we have from Indonesia and the Cote D'Ivorie is much happier now. But fo' real...come out to the Open House!!! Any talent level, any experience level, any race, any age, any gender, any size, and any sexual preference is welcome! That's the Bushwackers - a mix of everything out there, all striving for a common goal - to march, play, and spin together, to do those things well, and have fun doing it. 2009 is going to be CRAZY good. We even welcome flute players. Yes, really.
  21. Happy Birthday Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal.... Go easy on the Buca.
  22. THE DIRECTIONS TO THE ELKS LODGE ARE WRONG ON BUSH'S WEBSITE. Those directions take you to Elizabeth High School (which happens to be where our Open House is). The address of the Elks Lodge in the above post is correct. Again: 30 Spruce Ave Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660 (201) 641-0899 Sorry for the inconvenience.
