Ha! That's eerie however ... Bill Cook came to mind when I read the news article stating that a donor sent the money for the turf. Naah.

I think you're right ... the contest will stay in Indiana. Bloomington isn't that far from Indy, the stadium is easy to get to, lots of nice restaurants and hotels close by ... I know I'm ranting, but, to me, Drum Corps in a dome ain't Drum Corps ... its echo city!

Wonderful! It sounds like the turf field we have here at University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie. It's identical to the field at Camp Randall. That's a great surface. It would be great to bring a show back to Memorial Stadium.

IU is going back to turf? It could only help the football team. They won when they were on turf. I'm an IU person, so please, no flames ... what's the word on the change? I read the Indy Star on the Web and saw nothing ... we're former Hoosiers.

Memorial Stadium at IU in Bloomiongton, Ind. now has a grass field ... no longer turf. I agree, it was a great place to have a drum corps show.

Jon: I agree with you regarding the toddlers in the stands. Sheesh! We had a line of high school students behind us at the show who talked through most shows about the most banal drivel. I kept looking back to get them to hush up. Finally one kid said, "hey, let's listen to the music", and they were quiet through the rest of the Colt's show. Luckily they left before Santa Clara and the Cavies came on. Please kids ... if you're going to a competition, keep your mouth shut during performances. Most of us in the stands came to hear Drum Corps, not you! Okay ... off the soapbox.
