  1. Audio mixing was pretty bad. Pit vastly over powering the horn lines? come on!
  2. This seems like the dummest move dci has made since putting finals in Jackson Ms. in August. They have sold out the loyal fans.
  3. Does anyone else think putting finals in Indy for 10 years is a bad idea? I don't want to spend my hard earned vacation money going back to the same city for 10 years in a row. I can't think of anything more boring. Reminds me of the vacation timeshare scam. <**>
  4. You could be right. The spread was tiny earlier. Now it's much bigger. It will interesting to see what the next (different) GE Visual judge has to say. Is it the judge or improvement in Cavies show?
  5. BD better hope it's not Nola Jones judging GE Visual at finals.
  6. In the old days, DCI would announce all the Finals judges earlier in the season. They stopped doing it when they realized that the corps would tailor their shows to only what the finals judges liked and ignor all the other judges throughout the rest of the season. Do they still keep the finals judging panel secret until finals night? The reason I'm asking is that Nola Jones has opened up a large spread in GE Visual with Cavies over BD. That large spread wasn't there in their previous meetings. This is why Cavies beat BD in San Antonio. It was a .6 spread in GE Visual and BD lost by .55. Will Nola Jones be judging GE Visual at finals?
  7. Um, you are incorrect. BD beat Cavies in GE Visual at both Minn. shows. You check the recaps.
  8. Micheal Gray had Cavies up by .2 in Indy. Looks like the only time they took GE Visual over BD.
  9. Nola Jones had Cavies up by .6 over BD in GE Visual. A week and a half ago, BD was winning that caption over Cavies. This seems to be the key. Every other caption was pretty close. If Nola Jones is not judging GE Visual at finals, BD will win. Does DCI still not announce the judging slate for finals ahead of time?
  10. BD lost to 27th in 76, out west. We were the only corps to beat them that year.
  11. Have you seen them this year? They don't seem to know the concept of cover down. At least not yet.
  12. BD has no weak points. Drums, horns and guard could all win their captions at finals. Very entertaining show design. Marching is superb, could win at finals also. SCV got a gift in marching being only .6 down from BD. They should have been down at least 3.5, just in marching. I have seen SCV every year since 1971 and this is the worst marching execution show that I have seen from them in of all those years. Don't get me wrong, I love Santa Clara. Hopefully this was just a really off night, in that oppressive heat. To be fair, I saw SCV tonight at practice at Downey CA. Marching execution seemed to be much improved. I guess after 11 hours of practice, something has to improve. They were putting in some nice show rewrites, which should bump the score soon at least 2 or 3 points.
