I agree that the props should not be excessive so that it causes time problems. I think it is the electronics situation that is causing this problem mostly. I'm not sure if the time limit has been revised since the allowance of amps. If it hasn't, then this would be the next natural step in perfecting the system.

No corps are forced to use electronics, a prop setup crew, etc.

This is irrelevant. Amps and props are allowed. I've noticed several corps this season who had trouble getting everything setup in time. A revision of the time allowed should happen.

Is food allowed to be part of the competition show? Because that's all I need to ruin drum corps for me: a corps having a cooking show theme. Next thing you know, the activity will be turned into the Food Network, much like how the activity is now turning into American Idol. Beware!
