  3. YOU MISSED A GOODIE SARA...... IF YOU WOULD HAVE ASKED ME BEFORE THE 10TH I WOULD HAVE SAID MAYBE 30-40 HORNS....BUT MY EYES BUGGED WHEN WE GOT TOGETHER ON SUNDAY.....AND THE DRUMLINE IS AHEAD OF LAST YEAR ALSO ; ))))))) CANT WAIT FOR JANUARY....... RICK

I remember winning DCI east in 1977 with the Bridgemen and than returning in 2006 although we didnt compete the crowd response was the same ; ))) This old man got to relive a little bit of the past.......and doing it again this year.....I recommend that if any of you "old school" guys and gals thought of marching again DO IT !!!!!!!either with your corps alumni if they have one or join your second choice corps, its well worth the effort .

HEY JIM, AFTER ABOUT 10 YEARS OF FOOTBALL AND ABOUT 15 YEARS D&B CORPS I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM "MAYBE A LITTLE WORSE" AS YOU CARRIED #6 BASS LAST YEAR AND TO SAY IT DIDNT HURT WOULD BE A LIE....BUT WITH STOMACH AND BACK EXERCIZES AND ABOUT 6 WEEKS PT, IT KINDA GAVE ME ABOUT 45 MINS TO DO THE SHOW AND BE ABLE TO WALK STARIGHT TO THE BUS .... AT PRACTICE PUT THE DRUM DOWN AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE WORKING YOUR MUSCLES SLOWLY FOR THE SEASON...WERE NOT 18 ANYMORE SO ITS GOING TO TAKE TIME... AND AS THE PREVIOUS POSTER SAID "WAS THE PAIN WORTH IT" YES IT WAS BETTER THAN WATCHING THATS FOR SURE!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK, BE TUFF AND YOU AND THE "CRU" HAVE A GREAT SEASON RICK

I was walking down the street in Elizabeth, NJ when I was approached by 2 members of the Polish Falcon Cadets...They explained what the corp was all about and for .50 cents a week I could learn an instrament and be part of something special that was in 1966 when I was a little tike 9 yo...I marched with several corps since then and Im still involved with the corp I fell in love with in 1976 and joined in 1977 the Bayonne Bridgemen.......

  16. I wanted to add that in my many years of Drum Corps I FINALLY got to see St Joes. It was an outstanding job !!!!!! and I also got to see a little more of the Preston Scout House hornline warming up.......an honor to watch and listen....class all the way!!!!! Cabs and Sky.....whats to say there.....my favorite Sr Drum Corps when I was in Jr corps "Bridgemen" and nothing has changed after all these years. Erie T-Birds warming up....Niiiiiiice ; ) another first time for me. Boston !!!!!!! enough said one of my favorites in Jr days and now alumni.....a guy cant ask for too much more.... Park City Pride.....when we were warming up I heard Thunder and Blazes sounds like 80 Bridgemen and got my attention ; ))))) great job !!!!!! Yankee Rebels......saw ya in Bayonne and now at the Rock.......excellent job. ONe of these days Im going to sit on the fifty, about mid way up and enjoy a show. I want to see all the history of Dum Corps before my eye at least once. I would like to thank all of the corps for the nice words we received in Rochester this weekend and for me the feeling is mutual.
