No need to jump to conclusions on anything. Some staff are being maintained in the transition, and one should expect a balance between new and old. That would be the hope in moving forward…mixing things that have worked in the past with new talent to fix the things that did not work. You can expect an extremely well managed caption from Mr. Chavis, and announcements about returning and new techs will follow in the coming days. Thanks for the discussion…

I don't mind amplified voice, done tastefully. There's plenty of corps that don't use it, so I get my fix there. And, I hope electronics pass at the DCI meeting this weekend -=ducks for cover=- I figure, if a corps doesn't want to use it...they don't have to...otherwise, why not allow it? Anything to further the design potential of the activity. Sky is the limit :)

Wow...just...wow. You're kind of a 'glass half empty' type person, eh? How about trying to find something positive to say? Your comments certainly don't affect Hopkins or the design team...why not try finding something good about the 135 performers who will wear the uniform? Great music...great performance...great arranging...great visual design...there's a number of things you could say. It doesn't even have to be ALL of them. Or perhaps none if it is your cup of tea, but then...why not express it constructively? Rather than just shoot down something that you are yet to even hear about. Perhaps I am wasting my time, I just know - as a current performer in a div 1 drum corps - it gets kind of grating sometimes when people just want to focus on the negative. ESPECIALLY presented in a manner like this. "Let's talk about all the negative things that haven't even happened yet." Then again...maybe it is you who is wasting their time :) You do seem to spend an awful lot of time on DCP writing about how horrible the cadets are now...for someone who claims to be a 'huge fan.' Oh well. Not like this will change anything you say, but maybe have some consideration for the people who put their sweat and blood into what you call "negative." C'est la vie.
