Maybe you should log off and stay off this site for a few months so maybe you can get rid of the "old timer's" attitude and then come back with a positive mind. Or at least wait until they put a show together before you start ragging on them. A new year brings a chance for something new to take shape. Try not to judge a book by it's cover.

This would be a TERRIBLE idea in my opinion. Cadets certainly don't need anymore negativity with singing being the catalyst. I absolutely HATE WSS for drum corps. But I am gonna wait and see what happens when the season rolls around.

Cadets 1998 Canturbury Chorale flags. I loved them because they fit well with the piece, and the guard did well with them.

1. Phantom's entire show. Well designed. 2. Cavies jumping into forms. 3. Cadets show - the run to the end. Non-stop excitement. Please give an entire show like that. I only have three. This year wasn't really that exciting for me. Crown had a great show, but I didn't like it as well as I did 2007. Now THAT was a great show IMO.

Don't pour salt in my wound. I mean I know what you mean, and I do understand what GH is trying to do, but even I can admit that I am getting tired of my boys getting beat into the ground by what once used to be fans.

D@mn, as much as I hate to admit it, you're right about this one. I miss the days when the crowd would deliver standing ovations when the Cadets block would enter the field. Oh how I miss those days.

About Crossmen, what "rosski" said, basically. About Phantom, also what "rosski" said. Cadets were not clean, and I am biased. They had WAYS to go. But the end of the show was amazing (drillwise, although marching could have been a lot cleaner). I miss the multiple camera angles and the judge/staff commentary.

I voted for Cadets. I liked Phantom's show, but Cadets 1998 sounds as if (and to quote Mike Cesario) it was commissioned for The Cadets. Everything about it was just a beautifully written Cadets show. And the ballad in my opinion was one of the most beautiful ballads I've ever heard.

True, but yet again.... Take 98. A show that seemed like Cadets wrote it for themselves, and then we had 99. 2000...one of the most entertaining shows ever, and they almost kept it going with 01. My point is, Cadets know what to do to win and people should NEVER count them out or ever say that they would become irrelevant.

They've already proven that. See: 83, 84, 85, 87, 90, 93, 98, and 2000.

This is what happens when you speak and don't know what you are talking about. The Cadets have the experience to know what to do to win and design shows that can compete. To say that Cadets would become irrelevant is like saying the U.S. will become a third world country. Cadets have had many off-years but have figured out time and time again how to get themselves back to the top. I am sure the coming year or years after will be no different. Trust me, I know. I have experienced it for myself. As far as who would have something to prove, I think everyone does. Last year certainly was no gimme for Phantom or any other corps for that matter.
