  1. Rationalize it any way you want. The corps was on the field while you were booing. You booed the Cadets and I think you are, well I will leave it unsaid. And he was not the only one who complained about the hash marks, but the only one who had the balls to SAY something about it. As for the crying baby, sometimes they do get their rattle, and in this case, he did.
  2. Honestly this is nothing new. 10 years ago when BD won, Cadets had the hardest drill, and music for that matter, but they executed their show better. This year is probably the same, although I will have to wait for the DVD so I can REALLY examine both corps' shows.
  3. I know how you feel, but lets just appreciate the fact that a lot of people are now realizing how good the show was.
  4. Yeah, make sure you know what type of horn it is before you start talking about what made you mad. The guy played baritone.
  5. And I can't wait to see you out there enjoying it as much as I did... ....and when you make it, I will be screaming your name at every show I attend.....
  6. I can't wait to see the new stadium in Indianapolis.
  7. BD's show was excellent and I loved every minute of it. As for most demanding though, I'd have to disagree. Nevertheless, the show was excellent.
  8. You know, I wonder how many of the people who booed a show, or are defending booing, have actually MARCHED in a drum corps? You may think this question has nothing to do with the topic but it has EVERYTHING to do with it. Lots of people are saying the kids should have thicker skin, or that the booing was not directed at the corps, but at the director/staff. But that's all a cop out. If you have marched, you cannot tell me that you would not be the slightest bit irritated if your "director was booed" while you and your corps was on the field.
  9. So who had the most demanding show "in your book"?
  10. Michael Terry, I love you... From spending the last three days watching you guys rehearse, it never ceased to amaze me how much fight you guys had, ESPECIALLY after quarters. You guys showed that anger, and that you'd never give up. You guys brought a tear to my eye and from talking to some of you guys, I am VERY proud to have been a Cadet. My voice is gone now from screaming so much for you guys. Good luck on life after drum corps. I look forward to going to more shows next year and I will be SCREAMING my head off regardless of what you guys bring to the field.
  11. Yeah but everytime he has inspected the field and said something about it, something was done about it. I don't see a "smug" attitude. If you have marched, you know how dangerous a field could be. From holes in the field to hills appearing out of nowhere, if you are not careful and not sure what is on that field, you could either hurt yourself or take a tumble. So I think he is right for inspecting the field. He only appears to have a smug attitude because you choose to take it that way.
  12. And this saddens me because I am sure there are a lot of talented students in your band who would do well in this activity. I agree with you not wanting your kids to have to go through what the kids in Cadets had to witness on Quarters. I hope something happens next year that will change your mind about the whole thing.
  13. Oh please. If they were so rude to boo and heckle a show, what makes you think they would respond in a good way to someone politely asking them to stop? Writing letters probably won't stop it because, as you said in one of your posts, booing has always been around. So spare me the advice.
  14. I started to like this post until the end. I hope if you have children who choose to march drum corps, they have the opportunity to know and feel what it's like to be booed. And if you have the right to boo, everyone else has the right to call you all types of names for doing so. Take care.
  15. The show was pretty demanding. Can they get just a little credit?
  16. I knew there would be someone to bring something negative to this thread. Anyways, as the OP said, thank you Cadets for making this alum VERY PROUD of the Maroon and Gold team. You guys were excellent. Congrats to all the corps this year. YOU GUYS WERE ALL PHENOMENAL and I can't wait until next year!!!!
  17. Stop your crying. This is supposed to be a happy time. CONGRATULATIONS BLUE DEVILS!!!! What a great year for drum corps!!!!!
  18. At this point, it really doesn't matter to me who wins because the top three corps are really good. I will be happy if BD or Cadets wins because judging from watching the shows live last night and the night before, either one of them could take it. BD's hornline is powerful and I can't get enough of them. Cadets drill is crazy and cool. So either way, I will be happy with the results.
  19. Right now it really makes no difference to me who wins tonight. Last night these corps were ON FIRE!! And CONGRATULATIONS to SCV on their jump two places. That was amazing. I am so happy for them this year. If BD wins tonight, which they probably will, that will be excellent. If Cadets win, that will be excellent too. It'll be a real shocker if a corps like Cavies or someone else comes from behind to take the championship out of everyone's hands. Either way, this is an EXCITING season!! So glad I am here at finals!!!!
  20. I've stopped already. Let's see if you do the same. By the way, all corps were EXCELLENT last night. I am so glad I have the chance to be at finals for the first time in seven years.
