The Des Moines show last night was great for Inergy! I've been gone for the week, but the staff has obviously whipped this corps into shape while I was gone. We talked a lot about the work that needed to be done this week, and they took care of business. Maybe I should take more vacations... But seriously, I'm very proud of the work the corps put in without their director harping on them. We knew from the beginning that "War" would be a tough show, and we designed the show with August in mind, not June or early July. I'm glad that they got the show together for the Des Moines show, since it's sort of a home show for us. (Maybe we'll try to host next season). I'm really excited about the rest of the season. The competition is really tough this year.

Our new uniforms for this season are in. A fresh design from phoenixfire of Dynasty Uniform Designs.

After a successful 12th place finish in DCPI-IX, Inergy has had an exciting offseason and is ready to debut their DCPI-X show at the Tri-Color Preseason competition on May 9th and 10th. The director, Drew Wright has these comments about the corps' finish and new start this season: "I think the move to Des Moines really helped revitalize this corps. We had a strong first season in DCPI-VII, finishing 14th and placing as high as 7th in prelims. We floundered a bit in DCPI-VIII, partially because there are already several strong corps in Indiana, our previous home state, that were drawing some of the more talented members away from us. The Iowa move really helped us reach a whole new group of talented and passionate kids that helped make our season IX show a real success. The audience responded well to the classical repertoire of '88' because it used several piano standards. We are taking a slightly different approach to this season's show. Some of the music is a little more 'out there' and less well-known. However, we feel that we have a stronger concept and some great emotional moments in the show. The kids are already performing well, and we have lots of plans for changes along the way that will make the show even better. Hopefully the Tri-Color show will help us figure out exactly which of those changes will be most beneficial to this season's production. Well, I think that' s about it for me, since I know most of you are just here to see the show announcement." Hello everyone, with the next season just a few days away, Inergy is ready to unveil it's show concept. Those of you who attended the Preview of the Green got a chance to see the show there. It seemed to be a success there, finishing 5th in finals. Inergy's DCPI 9 show will be entitled "88" and revolve around the piano and it's music. Our headquarters are now in Des Moines, IA. Our division 2 and 3 counterparts Alpha and Omega are not going to be competing in this season and do not have plans to return in the near future. Anything can happen though. Inergy will be using Alpha and Omega's old uniforms for this season to help with the effect of the show. The uniforms were designed by Brent Becker of First Impression Marching Arts Design. We wish all corps the best of luck in the upcoming season.

I was just sent my uniform designs yesterday, and I must say that I am extremely pleased with them. Mr. Becker does fantastic work, and has provided all three of my corps with high-quality uniforms. As soon as I have everything else ready, there will be a press release from INergy showing the new uniforms and this year's show concepts. Once again, I'd like to thank Mr. Becker for his fantastic work. Anyone who orders from him will not be disappointed.

I liked it a lot. I've heard a few people complaining that it had too many plot twists, but I thought that they all made sense. I liked all three movies about the same. I also agree that the soundtrack was very good, although it's fairly easy to get the music stuck in your head.

INergy's DCPI 8 show will be entitled "Techno." We are exploring the use of entirely electronic music using no electronics! The selections used in the show are by Beatdrop, and are listed here. Firedance The Enemy of My Enemy is My Enemy Arena Blowback We hope that these songs will bring an entirely different feel than last season's show did. We were very pleased with last season's 14th place finish, and even happier with our 7th place finish in prelims (too bad that those couldn't have been switched.) We feel that having a less traditional show will help our corps rise to new levels. There has also been some talk in the INergy group about expanding into divisions two and three for the upcoming season. Be sure to check back. Later for more news. Sorry to be pointing out more scoring mistakes, but this one is partially my fault. I sent caption changes in on Friday to go into effect for last night's show. Unfortunately, I read my schedule wrong and said my corp was attending the Nashville, TN show. They attended the Atlanta, GA show. The changes were sent to statistics@drumcorpfantasy.com. Should I resend the changes with the correct show information, or can my captions be fixed for tonight's show? Thanks for all the hard work that is going into this league, and I'm very sorry about my mistake. I hope it can be fixed asap.
