  1. Fran, so glad to hear good news. Please tell Barb I think of her often and pray for her to get better every day. And a very special thanks for all you did Labor Day weekend with all you had going on. Everyone was so glad to hear your voice come over the PA system. Donna P DCA PR Director
  2. Thanks for the heads up. I will make sure it gets addressed in the director's handbook for next year and is enforced. We do not want to stop the after concerts but we need to respect the local businesses and neighbors as they are part of your fan and sponsor base and we want it to grow, now shrink.
  3. Andy, Thanks for the heads up. I think all of the Rochester police were quite pleasant and kept things moving in an orderly fashion. I will inform the local committee to pass on the compliment, but I think they already have. Doesn't hurt to say "thank you" twice.
  4. Alan, Thanks for a great performance. I had a blast working on the field this year. It felt like old home week from my days with the Hurricanes. I have to agree with all you said about the weekend and the great performances we saw by each and every corps that stepped on the field. Congratulations on a successful year for the Cabs. Look forward to seeing another great show in 2008. Donna Petrucelli PR Director
  5. Now that the 2007 DCA season has come to a close and we are all home from the past weekend at Paetec Park, what can be said about Mother Nature and her enthusiasm for attending the show in all her glory. Could we have ordered a better weekend of weather? But the weather is just the beginning of our memories of the 2007 championship weekend. I just want to say congratulations to our Class A champs, The Sunrisers and to our Open Class champs, The Buccaneers for their superb performances. And to the remaining 11 corps, kudos to you too for some outstanding performances and determination to catch one of those winners.....you almost made it. But the one thing you did do was put on an incredible show for an almost sold out audience. As my rookie season comes to a close, I want to thank everyone on the DCA board, especially Dick E., the Paetec Park event staff, Allen Buell and his local committee, the kids from Medina High School, my special friend Joe from Erie T-Birds, and everyone else on the field for helping to make my job such an easy transition. Not knowing what to expect, I found an exhausting weekend turned into a smooth, fun, and exciting one with all their help. I met tons of new "family", saw old familar faces, and got to see a lot of smiles as each corps passed by me taking the field for their final show of the season. But what I don't know is....did our fans enjoy the show as much as I did? As the new PR director for DCA, I am always looking to find ways to make my job better and when I make it better, it benefits all our fans. So, I would love to here from you on what you thought of the 2007 championship show? Did we do good, and if we can improve something, what is it that we can make better? Your feedback will help give us ideas on how we can make the 2008 show even better. I look forward to hearing from you and getting some great suggestions to work with. Hope you had a great time in Rochester. Donna Petrucelli DCA PR & Marketing Director
  6. Fran, My thoughts and prayers to Barb for a full recovery and to you for strength. I believe in the power of prayer and with your circle of friends in DCA, you will be thought of every minute of every day. Please know that I am here should you need anything and I will help in any way I can. Donna Petrucelli DCA PR Director
  7. Hang on guys and gals. I will have an announcement on DCP headlines real soon. Just waiting for a confirmation of something and will post it all for you.
  8. I guess it is time for me to jump into this string and introduce myself. I am your new PR person for DCA. Yes, it's me, Donna P from good ole' CT. I must say thank you to all of you out there who have given me great praises and support that I will do a good job as the new kid on the block. I must say I have a really big role filling the shoes of 2 class acts before me in Tom and Fred. Although I worked a lot over the years on the board with Tom as former business manager for the CT Hurricanes, I never had the pleasure of working with Fred. I have only heard of his great ability to be out in the front lines with all of you, offering his support and interest. So....on that note, I will do my best to keep that line of open communication with all my "drum corps family", no matter where you are out there or what your beliefs are. I know that everyone is entitled to their comments about DCA and the past rules congress results, but I am extremely impressed by the positive and professional attitude expressed by all. I have read through this entire string and found that will all the discussions, you've offered some good suggestions for the future. I hope that as the 2007 season progresses, I have the pleasure to meet many of you out here. Pleae always feel free to come up and say hi, no matter how busy I may seem. Donna
