Personally I think it has to do with politics...Visually I think spirit has definately one of the top 10 hardest shows of the summer and i think their music is harder than some of the top corps like Blue Devils...But then again whose isnt? lol I also think they are way cleaner and deserved to break 80 two weeks ago

Do you not have a heart? This show is so beautiful. A demon falls in love with a girl and saves her from the pits of hell. All while beautiful music, drill, and choreography is going on!!!

The company front in the closer could be the DCI Moment of the year....I am dreaming of some high mark time somewhere at the beginning or end or somewhere in that section....Its the only part of a show this year that has brought tears to my eyes...Its very emotional

First of all if you knew anything about santa clara you would know how much tradition lies in the appalation spring music so no its not unlike them at all.....The choreography is very much like santa clara.....The horn moves, the dance solos, the toast at the end!!!! Its all vintage Santa clara Vanguard maybe more now than ever before.... Before you go talking bad about them read up on your history a little bit buddy and get your facts straight....And the symbols don't have to make a V every year or maybe they are waiting until finals.......and the vanguard shout is out to add dramatic effect to the silence after an extremely loud section!!!

1.) Holy name Cadets (Awesome Show and 75th anniversary...Bloodthirsty) This I BELIEVE! 2.) Blue Devils (Always good and I think this year they come out strong as always) 3.) Crown ( Improve every year And I think have a succesful year as anybody) 4.) Phantom (Lost a lot of vets but still have great quality and potential) 5.) Vanguard (have not won a championship in 10 years and although they look to be struggling I think they pull through) 6.) Cavaliers (With Richard Saucedo leaving I think they drop slightly but not much) 7.) Blue Coats ( I love their style and their show Imagine looks awesome) 8.) Blue Stars (A surprising corps from last year that I think will be in finals again this year 9.) Boston Crusadrers ( really impressed me last year and If they were cleaner had a very good show 10.) Blue Knights ( always a top finals competitor) 11.) Madison Scouts ( Gotta love "ole Madison) 12.) Im thinking Colts, Crossmen, Spirit, or Glassmen

Anyone have any information on how they are doing. Whats the show like. Drill?Music? Anything?

Oh No hold up buddy...I agree the idea of movin to Texas is a stupid idea that is retarted and makes no sense whatsoever....However I marched 07 and I had to hear about that alumni BS all summer....Just because some staff came in...THAT ARE SUCCESRFUL IF YOU HAVEN"T NOTICED....ANDRE FEAGIN-BRAGG CAPTION HEAD AT VANGUARD,SOLOMONSON IS AT PHANTOM,SOME OF OUR DRUM TECHS AT CROSSMEN.....JUst because we came in and tried something new in 07 and WON A WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP a lot of you vets got pissy and pouted about it because we didnt play the old jazz bull that got us nowhere...ITS been 2 years just GET OVER IT...Thats not to all the alumni some were fine with it and backed us up...thanks for you who did......ANYWAYS This move to Texas makes no sense though because NEWS FLASH!! You arent going to be the only corp in texas...In case no one has noticed most the marchers at any corps is from a big state like texas.Memphis had a good thing going here as far as recruiting tennessee marchers......

I thought they fielded a corps last year....Why would they have to get approved

Im only going to predict the 12 finalist not the whole kit and kaboodle or however you say that word.... 1.) Cadets-> Heard many of their camp videos and the only thing I can say is wow...Early in the season they have a few intonation and endurance problems but that was all i could make out that was not good...Their music was so strong and written so well I cant see how they wont win it unless their drill program just collapses(Although I doubt it will because they are usually at the top when it comes to difficulty in their marching) 2.) Crown-> Last year was very strong, very impressive, very difficult, very loud, very clean, very innovative, very creative, and the list could go on and on.. They are like Phantom a few years ago where everyone wanted them to win, they had the potential, and they produced greatness....Unfortunately second was all phantom could get for a while after '96 until last year....I see crown giving the championship a run for the ages and not going down without a fight 3.) Phantom-> After God descended from heaven last year and granted them one of the most amazing shows of all time, I think they will be in the chase once again this year. A lot of vets aged-out which has brought in new talent which in drum corp can make a lot of difference...I think they will be just fine and their program will be another one for the ages leaving people with their jaws dropped and mouths wide open 4.) Santa Clara Vanguard-> Thier drill is always good and so is everything else they do....The only thing that has help them back in past years has been their brass which has NOT BEEN BAD it just hasn't been as good as Bd, Phantom, Etc...With new brass caption head Andre Feagin look for their Brass score to shoot through the roof...In case you still doubt take a brief look at Feagin's resume including Phantom drum major,Phantom brass staff!!! On brass staff with Crown(who afterwards kicked brass so to speak)...Director of Memphis sound as well as caption head/writer leading them to a world championship and now his latest task VANGUARD....He has already began his journey in the new direction with their show concept this year a Ballet for Martha....Simply stunning music that will leave you speechless 5.) Blue Devils->How could you count them out....They have been in the top 5 for like what??? 100 years or is it more....Anyways they are always elite and bring their A games....I would expect no different this year 6.) Cavalier-> With all the change in staff I just cant see them pulling off a top three spot like three years...Yeah staff changes shouldn't make that big of an impact but when 1st and 6th place can be by a margin of a point or less it makes a big difference..Nevertheless Cavaliers have always been one of my favorites so I would not count them out...They have so much history and support that their talent levels of musiscians should be sky high..Good luck Cavaliers! 7.) Bluecoats-> They are one of my favorites everyyear...Criminal was so awesome..Last year when they sang it was truly a rememerable DCI moment....Maybe they will make a run for the championship who knows but i DO KNOW WHATEVER THEY DO WILL BE CLEAN AND ENTERTAINING 8.) Pioneer->Just kidding 8.) Boston Crusader-> Last year their design was so cool and so great it just wasnt very clean...With a little work they could just be a top 5 contender...Go Crusaders we are all pulling for you!!! 9.) Bluestars-> Whatever you did last year just keep on doing it because it worked and was a really good show...I definately enjoyed myself and from camp videos I have saw this year they are looking to be a finalist once again this year 10.) Colts-> From what I saw at the inaguration parade really good sound you guys were great..If you havent had a camp..so Ive heard..How did you practice for the parade..Anyways I hope you can get your camps off the ground in time.. then you should be at the top of your game 11.) Blue knights-> Last year suprised me and was really good...I have heard some things early from them this year musically from freinds and they sound like they will be a contender once again for finals 12.) Glassmen-> Had a tough time last year but in recent years have proven that they can make it happen when the oppurtunity is there..I think this year they clinch the 12th spot to make finals with someone like crossmen or madison close on their tails

1.) Blue devils B (the very first post on this topic said that vanguard cadets members were all moving up....Whose to say that BdB will not all move up as well? I just wanted to point that out but I have heard some of their camp videos and im very impressed to say the least 2.) Teal sound (moving up the past few year to the position where I think this year could be their year) 3.) Vanguard Cadets( How can you count out last years champions...Well spartans won 2 years ago then had a horrible run for the money all season last year....Memphis also won division three and didnt fair as well last year...Thats beside the point though because I know some of the players and staff at vanguard cadets and they are telling me this year is looking to be maybe even better than last year) 4.)Oregon Crusaders (Has been rebuilding but I think have found what works for them....If you havent heard them yet then you will soon discover my point when you hear their music this summer) 5.) Capital regiment ( Seem to be on a mission to turn some heads..>I havent heard them yet but from the good things people are saying...watch out open class competitiors) 6.) Velvet Knights (They are just so darned cute...No im kidding I meant the colt cadets are just so cute not VK....VK has been progressing and I think with a push they can be in the running....They dont realize their potential but they have it in them to take the whole thing this year) 7,8,9,10,11) Dutch Boy, Raiders, Citations, Revolution,Yamato->Look to be competitive but I dont think have a shot at the gold, silver, or bronze 12.) Will probaly be a fight between Memphis sound,Legends, and Impulse

Teal sound, Blue devils B, or, Van guard cadets will be your 1st - 3rd........The citations and the raiders being the powerhouses they are (sacasm) wont be in the top 3 mix

Whoever has a problem with phantom's show is either a baby or a BD fan... Im sorry but they did the show justice with that much violence and it was awesome... I mean for christ sake it was about SPARTACUS not a 4 year old... GO Phantom

dropping from 5th overall last year to 11th this year... yea i would say thats a big drop
