  1. Bump! Anyone looking for a shiny gold 51D for the 2013 season?
  2. I have a Schilke 51D small shank gold trombone/baritone mouthpiece for sale. It was used for a few months and stored in a protective pouch. It's in very very nice condition; I just don't have any small shank instruments anymore. $100. Many of us know what a good mouthpiece this is for drum corps and the gold plating feels so nice! Please see pics in my CL link: http://greenville.craigslist.org/msg/3772679368.html If interested, please email me at shamrocker98@gmail.com, or text me at 864-881-8142. Josh
  3. Yep, except it was more like OOKOOKOOKOOKOOKOOKOOK
  4. I followed RAMD through the late 90's while I was marching DCI. My favorite part of all? All posts by Notabando.

There's no need to wait, the season is now starting. If there is something standing in your way, let us know. More About ALLIANCE: We welcome all ages and experience levels, from DCI age-outs to those looking for their first drum corps experience. ALLIANCE is Atlanta's premier sport-of-the-arts organization and is the reigning DCA South Champion. We offer a similar and very affordable alternative to DCI corps, which also allows a performer to have a summer to work or prepare for college. Not only is our weekend-only schedule convenient, the location of the high school is accessible to both the Atlanta area and upstate South Carolina! In fact, ALLIANCE is a great place to develop skills for future DCI ambitions. Each year, 10-20 of our members are accepted into DCI World Class corps across the country! ALLIANCE finished the 2011 season with a 7th place Open Class finish at the DCA World Championships. We are also the 2009 - 2011 DCA South Open Class champions, having been Class-A Champions for four consecutive seasons in DCA South from 2005 through 2008. This makes ALLIANCE undefeated in DCA South. If you are interested in auditioning for ALLIANCE, please contact Josh Palmer at jpalmer@alliancedrumcorps.org for more information. 14. Do you have previous DCI experience or wish to prepare for a World Class corps in the future? ALLIANCE Drum & Bugle Corps is looking for brass players and color guard to complete the corps for 2011 DCA competition. The musical and visual staff at ALLIANCE has many years of combined experience from the Cadets, Carolina Crown, Spirit, Santa Clara Vanguard and others. We currently have ALLIANCE 2010 alumni marching with the Glassmen, Cavaliers, Boston Crusaders, and Phantom Regiment. Those that have toured in the past bring that experience back to our corps and help drive us ahead each year. If you not have enough money or time to march a World Class corps this summer, or have already aged out from DCI, ALLIANCE presents a great alternative. Don't live in Georgia? Many of our dedicated members drive from South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, and even Indiana for our weekend-only rehearsals. Our experience includes physical and musical challenges, along with friendships from a diverse range of ages. Come check us out this weekend, in Alpharetta, GA. 19. ALLIANCE Drum & Bugle Corps, an all-age corps based in the greater Atlanta area, is looking for experienced color guard members to fill the last spots in our guard. Marching with ALLIANCE is both a demanding and rewarding experience. The corps operates with a competitive and focused approach, inspired by the DCI experience of its’ staff and members. It’s a perfect choice for performers who are no longer age-eligible for a DCI organization, or cannot afford the time and/or financial commitment to tour with a DCI group for the entire summer. Our 2011 production, titled “INFERNO,” brings a blend of familiar drum corps favorites back to the field, including: Infernal Dance by Igor Stravinsky, Fire of Eternal Glory by Dimitri Shostakovich, The Inferno by Robert W. Smith, and Firebird Finale by Igor Stravinsky. The corps will also be enjoying new uniforms, thanks in part to a recent grant from the Chase Community Giving program. We especially welcome those with previous drum corps experience, even if that experience was limited to a single audition. If a student is unable to join the DCI corps of his or her choice, we encourage him or her to audition at ALLIANCE. Our corps is a great option for those considering marching with a DCI corps for many reasons. It’s often closer, cheaper, and offers a more flexible schedule. The cost to participate is much lower than many World Class corps in DCI, often less than half, but the quality of instruction at ALLIANCE is just as high. Members are able to work off dues through sponsored fund raising opportunities. Rehearsals are held during scheduled weekends throughout the spring and summer, so members are able to participate in drum corps while holding a job or attending school. Don't live in Atlanta? Don't worry! We have members coming from all over GA, SC, AL, TN, and IN. 2011 is going to be an incredibly exciting season and the largest yet for the corps. For those interested and for any additional questions or details, please contact me. Our next rehearsal will be held April 9th and 10th, and all new faces are invited. A complete schedule can be found on our website @ http://alliancedrumcorps.org.
