Having done it, it's really hard to do live reporting, particularly with a blackberry. You feel like you are missing half the show while you thumb your observations. In between, you miss the conversation with your friends. Kevin sets up a laptop. Typing on a laptop is much faster. So, I canunderstand why people don't want to do it, particularly if it's their ony show.

Teal Sound 72.9 Yep, all I did was flip-flop Cadets and Crown, increase Boston by a point, increase Crossmen by half a point. Teal Sound by 3 points. Don't know anything about Cap Regiment.

I just wanted to point out that for all the angst over the guard uniforms, GE Visual is the corps' highest ranked caption on the DCP caption ranking system. Hopefully, the uniforms will make it even better, but GE Visual isn't their weakest caption at the moment. Visual performance--fixable by cleaning and practice--is currently their lowest ranked caption based on that system. Keep working at it, Crossmen. Steady improvement day by day. Hard work pays off.

In all likelihood the people who lack show etiquette are not the same people who care enough about the activity to participate on this forum. IMO--show organizers should hand out "Show etiquette" postcards when they give people their tickets.

This was the Crossmen's 6th competition and they have about 19 left through quarterfinals(20 if you include semi's). Season's not yet quarter over for them. They began a little later than the others. This was the Cadets' 10th competition, not counting the rainout. Season's still young, though it may not feel like it. Though that's no excuse for the vendor's delay.

Crossmen were solid but seem like they need to take it to the next level. Lack of guard uniforms still hurts because guard doesn't stand out from corps proper BC were real crowd pleasers. Loud, solid, and accessible. Very sexy.

I"m field level around the 45. Teal Sound are good. Started with nice mello solo and then a nice hit by ensemble.

They just did the National Anthem without an American flag in sight. There was an AMerican car going down the road in the direction of the flagpole. I suppose we were saluting that.

I'm here at the Jackson show. I probably won't do any reviews. All I could get was a standing room ticket. with that vantage point, I doubt I will see much. What's with these lame stadium selections?

I just heard that half of them arrived today. I don't know if that means some of the guard will wear them tonight. It's a real shame this delay had to happen. I believe this will be the first show with a full judges panel, including a color guard score. A lot of alumni will be in the stands as well. (Not blaming the corps. I know it's not their fault.)

I hope the members and staff had a good time. I work in Manhattan and I'm hoping they enjoyed my 2nd home. Now, we have what looks like a good day for practice and night for drum corps.
