  1. And the Knight organization of NC gets off to strong start, with a 1,3,2 finish in Annapolis, the highest score so far, and... The Knights sword!! In its usual show of class, the Knights of Power took possession of the sword after imploring the crowd for a standing ovation from the past holder - the 2 time defending champion Knights.

  3. The Organization of "Knights of..." is extremely proud of their world class corps performance to take 1st place and the Sword, but need for this success to trickle down to the rest of the organization. The other corps aren't on pace to even make finals. Maybe the threat of decapitations with the sword will help
  4. Speaking of no love, how about some congrats for a 1st year World Class corps getting the Sword?!?

  6. I'll put myself in for new director. I came in late in XII, and tied for the NC state championship in Class A, even with the penalty. I also won a show in my first week of competing. The corps was Knights of Note.
  7. Shade and Knights of Note wer from NC in A Class. Kon finished higher in every category, but with the penalty they tied. Does that mean KoN are the NC Champions in Class A?
  8. Knights of Note are A Class from NC - you have them as World Class
  9. The premier for the Knights of Note in Class A regional competition, and they came in 12th! More impressive, they would have been tied for 4th if it wasn't the penalty (because they were just rehearsing and didn't know you could actually travel places until last week!) Keep it up and maybe you can get a mythical champoinship!
  10. Knights of note - Director's home is in Rural Hall, NC, but the corps headquarters is at the home of the North Davidson Marching Black Knights in Welcome, NC. I am the MS Band Director, and assist with the HS, in addition to my new duties in Drum Corps!
  11. Way to go Knights of Note! 1st show ever, and got 7th in CO in Division 3. If it weren't for the penalty for starting late it would have been a 5th place finish.
  12. I was at the show tonight, and Southwind is for real - but some visual cleaning is needed. The show is well thought out (the phantom kick and the diamond cutter killed me!) and the sound is well balanced. I thought they should have beaten the Colts myself. I was 34 rows up, and SCV's forms were not as visible as they should have been. Has their designer been canned yet? Crown is the only corp to pull of it's show - with the awesome guard and the cream uni's. Good example of creative team at work correctly Madison's show is one for the ages, no matter where they finish
  13. I agree with a lot of your stuff, as I was there as well. I enjoyed Southwinds show, and thought they should be higher than the Kavies. This is coming from a brass nut who never marched corps though. The Blue Knights almost never march! They do so many visuals that they stop being effective. This became even clearer to me when seeing the Cavies show, who use them to perfection. Looking forward to your evening show reviews, as it was the best show I've ever been at.
