Have some camp photos. We finished the show "X" drum corps evolved !!! (yea..) less than 4 wks to our first performance at DCI Teal Sound "Sounds of the South" show. ( our fellow Florida Corps ) then the next day on to the Citrus Bowl for another DCI show that includes PR, Boston and Crown. SD Camp Photos We still have holes to fill along the way. This corps is 25-50% improved over last year. Show is great. Tympani player rubs my belly when the gang stays at the house. What could be better? I even get to ride up front in the staff van and hang my head out the window...............

Sun Devils Open House - Color Guard The Sun Devils will be holding an Open House for Color Guard candidates this weekend Sat April 18 and Sun Apr 19. This will be run in conjunction with the normal music and drill camp for the rest of the corps. Time to fill up the last section! We hope many new people will come on down to check out the progress the 2009 Sun Devils have made this year. The guard is 50% full and we would like to max it out. Under the direction of Trevelin Evans (Carolina Crown) and Ileana "Blue" Johns, the guard will make a big impact on our 2009 show called "X" drum corps evolved. We still have some openings in brass and percussion so all are welcome to come. The Sun Devils are an All-Age DCA Class A drum corps based in Sarasota county - Florida

Hey (arf!) I saw the new color guard staff and 5-6 guard at camp this weekend. I hear 3 more are coming next week. that will make 8-9. I heard that they need 12-14. So it looks like I'll have a lot of guard to pet me !!!

Sun Devils Drum & Bugle Corps Staff is comprised of DCI/DCA corps members - High school & college music educators Blue Devils, Cadets, SCV, Teal Sound, Heatwave, Magic, Kiwanis Kavaliers Boston Crusaders, Corp-Vets, Velvet Knights, UCF, U of Florida, U of Miami and more We already have some alum from Cab's, Brigadiers, Phantom, Cadets, Boston, Crossmen, Teal Sound, Corp-Vets, Heatwave, FSU as well as high school kids from good band programs Camp *** Mar 29-30 *** DCA Evaluation and camp *** April 12-13 *** Poinciana High Kissimmee, Fla.

Sun Devils Drum & Bugle Corps Next Camp Mar 29-30 Poinciana High School- Kissimmee, Florida Drumline is 95% full Brass still has openings but it is filling up (not just a rumour) Front Ensemble and Color Guard will resume on April 12 (you can drop by any time to just hang out though) We will be locking down the numbers as soon as drill is finalized. DCA evaluation is scheduled for April 12-13 We have very low dues - a sponsorship program - new uniforms in the works - top notch staff We may take DCI performers if it is cleared with director and section reps before hand.
