Is the church going requirement explained to the members before they sign a contract? This has long puzzled me about Pioneer. What if a member is not the church going type, are they denied membership? What if a member is a religion other than Roman Catholic?

Does Pioneer still "require" and "insist" that the members attend church on Sundays while being a participant of the corps?

Whatever happened to the good ol' days of when drum corps were the show innovators and marching bands copied from them? I saw East Coast Jazz in 1988. That summer we had a member bail from the corps I was with only to hook up with them.

The organization should step back, not rush things, reevaluate itself, and return with its original name-The Malden Diplomats! Sometimes one must go back in order to successfully go foreward!

So what proposal did the Blue Stars try to pass? What new merchandise? This thread is very interesting. How much of all this is fact or fiction?
