Boy I sure loved City OF ANgels , pntom of the Opera, JCSS, Miss Saigon, Fiddler, WSS. Musicals are great and I don't think it would hurt for someone to bring them back. And there are soooo many great ones that haven;t been done before.

No I wasn't calling you or what you said fluffy, Thirdcoast. I was talking about the last ten years how corps write these big, long, fluffy show desriptions that are supposed to impress us, instead of just throwing down and letting the music speak for itself like in the old days. What you are doing is hyping the camps which is great. not sure if you know me or not. Im a fan who has been around for a long time like 20 years or so. Mostly go to shows out here on the East Coast and long time ago 86 or 87 went to Dekelb for the DCM champs.

This secrecy stuff is BS. Back in my day the groups would announce their show music, end of story. And then they would come out in June and play. It was awesome. I say stop the secrecy and stop all the fluffy press releases and just throw down. I really hope Madison just brings back what the crowd wants. Malaguania and Slaughter and real music like that! Just kidding. I like the new stuff as long as it peels my shorts off!

As Mike Ceazario said They were the biggest - the best! And I remember that summer very well. It was a drought all year - hot as blazes and how nice it was to have a cold beer or two and kick back and watch all the corps and have your lungs torn out by the sheer sound - not just Madison but all the groups. 80 Bucs were still my favorite thoug - playing Baccus. Nobody did it better. But for 1988 Madison was Magic.

Yup. I for one sure hope they bring it big time this next year. They brought it last year but now lets kick it up a notch or ten. Go Scouts
