  1. Si Senor(ita?). The mountains, snow and skiing are impossible for me to leave. And my bad... but there are a lot of solid PR alumni from 'Bama, and I don't recall who you are as PhanSouth! If you're protecting your identity, very cool... but let me know and drop me an email or something! Facebook has a huge group of PR alumni too, look me up there if you're on it. Oz
  2. My first year in Regiment in 89, we used those *#&! things all season long. They are a pain. The huge metal rings are constantly clanking against instruments all show long. But it would be cool to pull them out and use them just for finals. Non-issue regarding safety during fast moves/runs. Oz
  3. That was wonderful writing Nikk. I admit I got a little misty eyed :) I have self-diagnosed myself with a mild case of Tinitus (constant high-pitched ringing in the ears) and I KNOW that the marjority of the damage was caused by standing in front of that #### 1993 hornline all summer long. Those were some of the loudest moments I've ever expereinced. But you know what, I wouldn't trade those arm-waving, hearing damaging 1993 memories for anything. Oz
  4. '87 was the year that 'made' me want to march drum corps. I have purchased the '87 Legacy DVD even before I have completed buying all the years that I marched ;) Last question is Nikk... I thought NikkNakks.com was going offline?
  5. I suppose that makes sense :) It's just hard for me to accept that the first year I marched is now considered "Historical" ;) I feel the same way about my '68 Camaro being considered an antique automobile! AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!
  6. Hmmm.... I have to agree with Jim... this could become a bit difficult to manage. Will the admins actively be moving topics from the main forum to this one, when deemed appropriate?
  7. Great review. It sure brings back memories of doing that gig in the park. On a side note, what you really did however, was help me realize how imporant it is that DCI comes up with a way that we can legally get recordings of these performances. I would absolutely pay a small fee to be able to download a recording of the performance you just described!!!
  8. You never figured out how to use it did you ;) . . . . . . . Just messin' with ya!
