So my friend is getting married April 4th...being the maid of honor it would likely be frowned upon if I didn't attend...so I now have a prized VIP wristband for prelims and tickets for A Class Finals, Open Class Finals and World Class Finals in section 218, row 8, seat 14...I'm assuming it is a pretty good seat...and it is free to someone...so that should make it even better! Let me know if you are interested...

Thank you so much for your help! I'm delighted to know they don't just throw you in...sorry to be annoying but what exactly is a home study (it is mentioned on the WGI site too)? Do you get a tape of a preformance to practice on or is it reading text or do they want me to study the different rooms in my home?

Have you ever thought about judging winter guard? I’ve been chatting with my previous show designer; he encouraged me to read up on judging and attend the training for our circuit in December. I love this activity, so staying involved is a huge bonus. After 10 years of being a fan it would be great to take on a new role. Do you have any tips for a rookie?

They were from Missouri State (I assume that means Missouri State Univeristy in Springfield, MO) but I don't know that they are/were members of drum corps.

Wow you guys are fast! Thanks so much for the advice!! I can only get off work for Saturday (and it is a 7-8 hour drive) so I only get to see one show...it stinks I know. I can't tell you how excited I am; let's just say EVERYONE I see knows I am going and has to watch some videos from previous seasons. I bought 4 tickets but one of my friends is "iffy" and won't know until Saturday morning if she can go. If not hopefully someone will enjoy the show in her spot. It's really interesting since I don't really have ties to any corps. I read your reviews and debates and just imagine what it will look and sound like in LESS THAN 2 WEEKS!!!!!!! I can't wait!!!!

World Class Championships will be my first experience with live DCI competitions. What should I expect (besides amazing performances) from the evening? How long do they usually last? Should I bring a bleacher seat (it looks like the seats are bench style with no backs) or is that frowned upon by DCI’ers? I read somewhere about an encore is that something that happens in the stadium, parking lot or was I hallucinating? I may end up with an extra ticket (but wont’ know early to sell it), I saw that some people have given extra tickets to kids in the corps, do you know where I should go if I end up with an extra ticket? Any other tips for a first timer???
