I've been doing some research...and I was wondering If anyone knew the reason why Star of Indiana left DCI. Its not like they folded, they were and still are a very successful organization. (in reference to playing with the Canadian Brass and with BLAST). If anyone could help that would be great.

Yeh, things do change, but PR should be able to still have rights if they were granted them...But if it just changed now, its doesn't make sense.

With this "re-edited" version of the DCI 2008 World Championships coming out...Do you think it Phantom Regiment Broke DCI rules? Could it cost their Championship? I mean...you have to get rights for ANYTHING if you want to preform/arranging music? So if their staff was to say that they had the rights...but didn't... They must of have had the music arranging rights early on like January or even the months before 2008...but for something to come up now...is very interesting... to slip and make a mistake like this is pretty big. Could it cost them? Lose their first real Championship? Disqualification? They said that they thought they had all the rights, but something happened...and why now? Just a thought. And in the message it did not sound like they were going to get rights for that piece in the future.

Blue Devils Tubas ("the line")

I'd like to add...there are people from all corps finals night who do something that make themselves and their organization look bad...This is not a fair topic to single out the Blue Devils. Each Drum Corps puts a lot of emotion into their shows, and you know what...so what if people from Blue Devils were up set for losing, or Cavaliers getting 3rd place, etc...Finals night releases many emotions that I'm sure people will regret later on if they make wrong choices. Please...don't blame everything just on the Blue Devils. There were many other corps members who did things that night to release stress, and emotions by making their corps look bad. I was a member of that 2008 Blue Devils. Yes...I was upset. So what? But, I did 3 things that night that I know that I will not forget. 1st. I thanked my staff and friends for a great year. 2nd. I CONGRATULATED the Phantom Regiments main conductor and SHOOK his hand. 3rd) I was able to sit down with my best friend, who I rarely see, and just...be normal. (that last reason, I know is a little off topic, haha...you all know...) I will NOT add anything else to this topic, its not what Drum Corps is about...I saw many things from the top 3 corps and many others. The most painful one towards me was from a member of the winning corps... But...I am not going to add to this, even though I would like to...I will regret it. 2008 was a great year for all...don't kill it. Thank you to all who are standing up for the Blue Devils.
