Does anyone know if Crown still has any bari holes? And if so how does one get in contact with the brass staff?
-
He emailed Mike at the colts

Does anyone know where I can check this info? A student of mine left a corps due to personal reasons but is seeking another group.
-
He's emailed colts, academy, and spirit But no responses yet

I once heard after a member signs a contract after May 1st he cannot change corps without the directors permission. Is this true? And what if the member quits during spring training does he still need permission from former corps if he finds another during the summer?
-
After talking to him, he is extremely interested in Academy and the Colts. But how does he get in contact with the Academy?

I have a student who last year had a rough experience with drum Corp. He did not audition this year, but now that summer is here he really wants to march. Does any know of any Bari holes? Thanks!

So, I was looking at the Troopers Facebook page and one note said 451! I opened it curious...it stated 451 non-vets had RSVP'd for the first November camp in Laramie. One of the comments was from one of their lead volunteers and hardest working woman in DCI, Traute Gilbert, aka Mom who stated she had only recieved 75 RSVP's for the November Camp. Now who I should I believe? Do corps have a reputation for hyping audition numbers? 75 seems a bit low, but it is Wyoming and costs a lot to fly or even drive to Laramie. So what do you guys think about this?

Cavaliers Marching Technique
baribloos replied to ContraFart's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
First of all don't talk bad about a performing group before you see or hear them. These kids perform their hearts out and learn the technique as best as possible. But hey, I bet you feel awesome about making fun of 14 to 18 year old kids who perform with all they have. -

I just get paid to help teach the technique man...the kids perform it at the best level they can...which is actually pretty high when they have a good show design. -
Cavaliers Marching Technique

The high school I tech for uses cavalier technique for forward marching and regular straight leg for backwards. Its very fluid and since they barely halt n play it is very easy to make smooth transition for their drill which is quite hard for a highschool band. It is very tough for individuals to look exactly same which is why our first week in summer band is all basic block.
