ok so the new year is quickly approaching and i wanted to get a head start on picking the "right" tour shoes. in '08 i had a pair of pumas and in '09 i had a decent pair of nikes. i want a comfy, lightweight, FLEXIBLE shoe. i know asics are popular, but ive never had any. i was also looking into under armor shoes. any feedback would be appreciated

Plus with open showers you can have an epic sing-along or play games like HUMAN BOWLING!!!!!!!!

My first audition camp for the 2008 season i was REALLY freaked out about the showering thing. So i too had the bright idea of "getting up earlier than everyone else", but going to bed ad 12:30ish then taking an hour or so away from sleeping is not the best plan of attack. I found that out really quick. First of all your already more tired than you have ever been before due to the physically and mentally strenuous rehearsals, so losing any bit of sleep will come back to bite you in the butt...SOOOOO the point of this long tangent is yea it's kinda weird at first, but everyone's practically naked on the field during tour anyway, so just relax, and "just do it" you'll get used to it faster than you think. and believe me, you DON'T want to be the smelly kid, we tend to avoid them at ALL costs!

I'm auditioning for the Colts Cymbal line after 2yrs on Colt Cadets cymbal line.

i went through most of tour last year using black shoe polish, around the end of july someone had bought a shoe shining sponge by kiwi...IT WAS AWESOME!!!!! i think i'm going to use that this year!

2008. Can't remember the show. Some guy tried to do the Vanguard yell at the wrong moment. It went: Guy - "VANGUAAArr....." Everyone else - "awwwwww" Some guy did that at finals too i was sitting a couple rows behind them lol XD

Its taught me what real friends are like Ive learned to accept changes and adapt to them quickly I have so many (true) friends across the country than I could have ever imagined I'm happy with who I am I now know what TRUE teamwork is I am stronger both physically and mentally and can push through almost anything there are days that I wonder "What would my life been like if it hadn't been for drum corps?"

just thinking about the upcoming season gets me wired to the point of no sleep...gotta love it
