  1. sometimes you can make more money with a smaller venue at least the show Tuesday night is in a big venue
  2. agreed - the old "throw the baby out with the bathwater" syndrome!
  3. Don't disagree, but they have a plan and timeline for the show from here to Indy, so they won't be cleaning sections to be changed. This really isn't rocket science lol The implication I was responding to is that they are just "making it up on the fly" which is simply not the case
  4. Really? Wow I didn't even know they had competed yet. And guess what? BD is changing things. They design in the moment more than anyone.And... I'm pretty sure BDs guard is LOADED.
  5. Ok good. It wasn't specifically stated before so just cheking... would have been an early show if those were eastern times for the folks in Denver lol
  6. It's an awesome show. And yes - the kids are so impressive in the heat. The work ethic is something I personally LOVE about the activity.
  7. They are cleaning the sections that won't change. You do realize Cadets (& BD) are the best in the business at this "cleaning" stuff right?
  8. OJ scared your speakers. They are afraid to fail or degrade in anyway
  9. they had a TON of field staff in the other night - like maybe 10 or 12. Couple for the guard, 1 for each pod of brass, pit guy, 3 battery guys and then a few others just floating around -- it was crazy VERY efficient and intense rehearsal. I expect some quick improvement by SAT; and hopefully by a week from Today when they start to meet up with the other top corps Cadets right behind the top "group" by about a 1 point or 2 should be the goal right now... Get close, make some more changes and the closer after SAT and then clean Atlanta through INDY I'm very excited about the potential. Especially the guard side of things.
  10. Wish I could be there tonight. My next show will be at SAT. Can't wait Cadets need a very good performance tonight. That 2 point gap is too much, need to get that down close to 1 point and that means they must win music and narrow the visual gaps. They can do this! It's close!! Closer than it appears as the gap is spread out amongst the captions with no huge deficits.
  11. FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! On a scale of 1 to 10 that hype video is an 11
  12. Score Predictions for tonight: Heat Wave - ?? Legends 54.100 Jersey Surf 57.150 Spirit 63.450 Boston 68.100 Crossmen 69.350 Cadets 78.750 Bluecoats 80.300 With the corps getting in some rehearsal time today, Spirit with a show under their belts and the big crowd on hand with lots of Boston family & friends I figure the corps should have some great runs tonight and we'll see some scores climb.
  13. Awesome. And totally agree. Look forward to reading it
  14. Not really. Every year the tour plays out differently. Coats do tend to head east early
  15. All the corps are busy, let's face it. They are all working hard and trying to better their show and insert changes. Cadets have their guard cleaner caption head on tour with them this weekend and all next week and it's about to get real.
  16. And... here u go again Cadets had a competition. They also changed all the orchestration to the last minute of closer and restaged and added drill to 2 minutes of the ballad.
  17. Cadets are moving into cleaning mode for a bit. Going to really make a big difference.
  18. a song that should have been woven into Cavaliers program IMO
  19. I always thought of it as Alice in Wonderland show... it certainly had some great moments. The Ballad in particular with the guard doing the work across the benches behind the corps = wow!
  20. Good luck to all the corps tonight - great to see the show SOLD OUT and standing room only seats on sale :)
  21. Thanks for posting your thoughts from the show. Glad to hear Legend's show was good - look forward to seeing it later this summer!
