So I cant decide which corps took first - BD seemed stronger tonight, but Cadets were solid So I have it BD/Cadets Coats Crown SCV Blue Knights Cavaliers for the top 7

I'm really surprised by some of the body-shaming going on this year on the forum. Thought we were all above this sort of thing... Guess not.

not attempting to argue I just disagree. And that's ok! Maybe try making your point in a more respectful manner instead of flat out insulting and belittling what a corps is doing...

"fast walking" is actually known as "marching" -- now I know this might be foreign to you and SO two weeks ago - but it is a crucial part of drum corps -- otherwise we are a symphonic band

Could I get an example of this "Cadet homers bashing the Bluecoats" ?

pioneer is a younger corps - I think it is past their bedtime :)

they had it in place last night also - very big improvement!

they went on BEFORE them... but don't let that stop you!

it was a very good run - I didn't hear the "ensemble tear" (doesn't mean it didn't happen, I just don't hear it) and the closer was at the same tempo as last night so not sure why folks are saying "it was faster" BD was very strong tonight. I love the changes to the closer and the drill is getting cleaner. Their individual technique is SO strong across the board The one thing I wish they'd eliminate is the "rushing the sidelines" ending // that is getting as old as Crown's Crown drill.

they have the best "hairography" in the business!!

BD's guard is so good - and the horn sound is out of this world!

by about 1-1.6 and over Crown by about 0.5 or so... IMO

so I'm getting the (bad) feeling Bluecoats are going to have difficultly holding pace with BD & Cadets -- the next week is so crucial not sure if this program has enough GE to hold off the deficits in brass/percussion/visual performance I see about a 1.5 gap tonight // not there in person, so just going on the feed... I'm pulling for them!!

they beat SCV last night and were down 0.4 to Crown - but above them in substance. They will be FINE

I doubt the fact that they had their 2 speakers placed DIRECTLY under and in front of DCI's 2 microphone stands helped matters These corps need to put those speakers in FRONT of the stands - not directly under or behind / just throws the balance for the online audience way off I have zero idea what it sounded like in person :(

loving BK - extremely well crafted program, bordering on a work of art the use of the mirrors is really well don guard is just stunning brass sound is so refined and unique really a lot to love in this program!!

yeah - that's generally my take on it I do like (unlike the others here in the thread) the musical changes they've been adding in - while they "interrupt" the flow a little, they add some texture, and varied dynamics to the middle third of the program it badly needed Great run by them tonight but GE is a level off the top group of corps

So Vanguard - love the show. Compared to other comments here - I wish the ballad was more choir and less solo - still very appealing though The battery is absolutely fantastic! The corps does seem to have some dirt in the marching dot to dot - intervals vary a great deal between individuals. I think the feet issues are coming through in the brass a bit, some timing issues Great program though! Their strongest in years!

Cavaliers I thought were much improved tonight. Drill looking much better and corps seems much more in control of the musical challenges now I've always loved this year's program so it's great to see it coming together in the past week or two! 3 weeks to clean :)

you sound a little bitter... but alas I'm sure DCI will penalize them and extract your pound of flesh :)

such a step forward in the visual program for the Colts this year! if I was a corps sitting in the 8-10 spot right now I'd be feeling heat from the corps in the 11-15th spots - a real heated competition!

very fun show from Academy - love the ballad this whole cluster of corps would have made finals in decades past - very impressive bunch!
