  3. they do all meet up Thursday night in Rutgers! That should be a great show
  4. yes - go early - ticket sales have gone very well so should be a great crowd
  5. if you don't like patriotic then it is getting worse if you like "in your face" - "emotional" and "big finish" then it is not getting worse I much prefer it. But then I am very much a traditionalist

  9. narrator will change colors to coordinate with the guard - here's two of the looks
  10. 1 left field, 2 rear, 1 right field - all with their outside edges on the field boundary - back or end zone The guard pulls them out - corps is restaged around them as is the guard
  11. I love the new ending. It isn't "run and gun" at all - just restaged and new music / samples from the old version. BUT it is highly emotional and ends with some big sustained notes that go on forever in our face and the crowd (maybe 300 folks at their rehearsal like night) lept to their feet and gave a rousing standing ovation It really pulls together the whole program in a first class manner and ends with that big, emotional moment the show needed Yes - there are four random Americans on 4 flag back-dropped tarps which get pulled out before the final push - they are on the field literally the last 30-40 seconds and (we were in a low stadium) didn't really add much. The narration talks about how "we" won't let the dream of America die, not now or ever. A government "of the people, by the people and for the people" kind of message - the images just represent "all of us" - so they are fine and the purpose is to add "us" to the football field - and some more "red white and blue" Don't underestimate the other changes as well - tempo and timing changes that speed the show along and up its impact big time For folks who hated the program before - they'll still hate it lol - still has narration (which he PERFORMS LIVE BTW) and still has the patriotic feel, especially at the end But the folks who like the performance before but thought it fell "flat" will appreciate the improved ending and other changes - really kicks the show up a notch!
  12. Agreed - I've watched the Saturday night run several times... it was the best run (I've seen) of theirs all season and you could really sense the increased confidence and energy even growing just from the night before. From the weekend prior (San Antonio) the difference was measurable and obvious
  13. I'm really looking forward to seeing Crown Thursday night - haven't seen them live in a couple weeks. I was extremely impressed by them (via FN) on Saturday night... seems like they are cleaning up quickly and the program is growing by leaps and bounds Can't wait!!
  14. I agree. Not only is this thread ludicrous it reeks of someone trying to find fault where there is none. The guards great. The actual costume covers everything needed covered. The work is challenging and not sexist or (to me) sexual in any way. So odd. And unnecessary.
  15. drums have several changes in the show plus 18 counts extra at the end
  16. yes to all - I find the new ending MUCH more effective - add in the tempo changes and other music and timing changes plus a few new "impacts" and the show is definitely much more effective they've made some smart changes - I was pushing for "Drill" but honestly having now seen what they pulled together it fits and rounds out the show much better than some crazy rapid fire cadet ending
  17. it's still a ballad dude - probably just around 85 bpm - just not as sleepy as it was... a good thing
  18. They've pushed the ballad tempo way up. Much better feel now, gives it a lot of life.
  19. They are pushing the tempo in the final segment of Roosevelt to 200 plus music changes drums and brass. Very effective change
  20. A lot of work enhancing various hits and musical moments plus a few timing changes. All for effect.
  21. Guard is getting very good. Will probably end up as their best guard since 2005. Nice!!
  22. There must be three hundred people watching this rehearsal lol
  23. Not at all. Besides being outstanding they fit the theme perfectly. But then again I also love NFL cheerleaders
