From the very first association with marching band when my daughter started high school, both students AND parents/boosters were repeatedly "educated" at rehearsals, booster meetings, etc., that when attending a competition, rules of etiquette were expected to be obeyed. One does not enter or leave the stands during a performance (emergencies not withstanding), one does not insult the talent/performance of another competitor - especially in the venue, and one applauds/cheers other competitors after their performance. Good sportsmanship! I still follow the example I was given those years ago - when entering or leaving a show, if I pass another Corps on its way in or out - always encourage or congratulate. Have a great show! Beautiful visuals out there! Great show out there tonight! The kids love it! And it is all about them, isn't it?
Thanks, Alfred and the Lassiter family for your example.
