  1. I'm with you! I am on the edge of my seat at home! Have one daughter on the field and another watching BL&L in Tucson AZ. Arghhh!
  2. Thanks again, Irving! Hope I get the chance to meet you Friday, Saturday or Sunday while I am in Indy! Surely, you'll be at the banquet?! I CAN'T WAIT!!!
  3. As far as HNC's song goes, as a parent I can't wait to hear it in in Indy as my daughter ages out this year. DCI's Field Pass Saturday was recorded at the Cadets' Diamond Anniversary Bash and features (in the first minute) the popular "Rocky Point Holiday," as well as (at the last minute or so of the segment) the singing of the Corps' song by 150 current members and almost 400 alumni. Very moving. http://www.dci.org/audio/2009/field_pass/2...3_fieldpass.mp3
  4. I have to say thanks again for a great update. I also can't wait to meet so many other family members and loyal volunteers when I get to Indy on Friday!
  5. Can't wait to see photos uploaded on Cadets sites soon! Hope there will be some video on All Access as well.
  6. Thanks so much for your updates. I am counting the days until I make it to Indy in time for semis and finals - not to mention age-out ceremonies and banquet! I love my Cadet daughter and am so proud of her and the entire Corps for a beautiful season.
  7. Wow! I can't wait to be in Indy for the big show! I am in awe of all of the corps this year!
  8. Thanks for the details! Wish I could be up there for the BIG weekend celebrations!
  9. I've watched the others on the Cadets All Access network and they are unbelievably awesome - but my daughter marches this year, so I HAVE to vote for her!
  10. From the very first association with marching band when my daughter started high school, both students AND parents/boosters were repeatedly "educated" at rehearsals, booster meetings, etc., that when attending a competition, rules of etiquette were expected to be obeyed. One does not enter or leave the stands during a performance (emergencies not withstanding), one does not insult the talent/performance of another competitor - especially in the venue, and one applauds/cheers other competitors after their performance. Good sportsmanship! I still follow the example I was given those years ago - when entering or leaving a show, if I pass another Corps on its way in or out - always encourage or congratulate. Have a great show! Beautiful visuals out there! Great show out there tonight! The kids love it! And it is all about them, isn't it? Thanks, Alfred and the Lassiter family for your example.
  11. Thanks so much for sharing! I enjoyed meeting and working the food truck with Fred in Alpharetta GA in July and really wish I had the flexibility to join the tour for more than a day or two. This is my daughter's age[out year and I am trying to savor as much of the experience (vicariously) that I can. I can't wait to be in Indy next week to see HNC shine!
  12. Fred, where are you? We need a boxingfred update!
  13. Did I work with you in Alpharetta? The Corps is DEFINTELY loving the food this tour! I hear from daughter - usually when they are pulling into the housing site... Really? So early? I take the calls because I love hearing all the stories!
