Wow- I was just 14 years old when I marched a small Class A 60 corps The Arizona Musketeers. although we were not very good, I remeber sitting in Badger Stadium and watching all these corps - many in their last year. Venutres were all female and won Class A right? Avante Guard went away after 1985 right? Argonauts were from Oregon correct? geneseo Knights did Jesus Christ Superstar correct? Man I miss those days!

Sean Cunningham - Program Director/Co Caption Head. Sean has worked with programs such as Momentum, Velvet Knights, SoCal Dream just to name a few. Amadore Padilla - Head Battery Tech. Amadore has spent the last few years with Pulse, 2010 PIW Champions and Bluecoats! Tony Villasenor - Head Front Ensemble Tech. Tony has recently worked with Full Force Percussion, Velvet Knights and Impulse. Carlos Sanchez - Bass Tech. Carlos has spent the last few years with Full Force Percussion and Velvet Knights. Dylan Campbell - Front Ensemble Tech. Dylan was DCA's I&E Marimba Champion for 2010 and holds a Bachelor Degree in Music Performance. Brandon Kovacic - Cymbal Tech. Wow - filled fast. Thanks to everyone. But, we STILL need 2 mallet players!

SoCal Dream has recently had the Bass 3 position open up. Our line has been set since Feb and has been progressing and playing very well since. However, we recently had our Bass 3 position open up. SoCal Dream is a Class A DCA Corps that will compete in most California DCI shows (including our own DCI Home Show including 15 corps!) and then travel back to New York for DCA World Championships. We are a consistent Finalist in Class A and the corps has an all new Percussion Staff this year with a great deal of DCI and WGI experience. If you missed auditions for the local DCI corps or want to march this year but cannot afford to tour all summer, we are a perfect competitive alternative to those who didn't make the junior corps of their choice, are over 21 and still want to march or cannot go on tour all summer - but want to participate in a competitive program. Yep!! Pretty amazed at the progress this weekend. Solid effort on getting the opener on the field marching and playing. Horn line is sounding so much better. Guard already looking great! Battery playing very solid! And . . . wow Front Ensemble. What are we gonna do with ourselves . . .

SoCal Dream welcomes Tony Villasenor as our new Front Ensemble Instructor! Tony comes to us most recently from The Velvet Knights and Full Force Percussion, working as a Front Ensemble Tech. Tony rounds out an all new Percussion Staff at SoCal Dream - challanged with the task of completely turning things around for the SoCal Dream Percussion Program. This years line is more loaded with younger talent, including members with expeience that include, Colts, SCV, Fever, Impulse and a staff that brings real Drum Corps and WGI expeience to the plate. We are bringing a very challenging book to the field, and so far - the line has exceeded expectations for developing a respectable style and technique and playing clean with an exceptional quality of sound. We will see everyone on the field. Thanks to all who have contributed to really turning things around this year!

Thanks to all who have auditioned for SoCal Dream's 2010 Battery. The line is full and is loaded with talent and playing well . . . nice to have recent DCI Div I age-outs in the line! With WGI and SCPA seasons comming to an end - it's time to ramp up rehearsal schedules, attendance policies and bring this book alive! We DO have a couple spots left in the Front Ensemble. We could really use a percussionist, some on Tympany and maybe one more solid mallet player. SoCal Dream will be having rehearsal both Feb 14th and 21st at Golden West College in Huntington Beach CA from noon to 5pm (percussion at 11am) and on Feb 21st we are having an after rehearsal dinner at Islands Restaurant in Fountain Valley, CA (just down the street) immediately following rehearsal. Percussion has 1 snare spot open and several front ensemble spots.
