  1. Confederate Regiment will host the shows in Ann Arbor, MI and Canton, MI if no one else has claimed them yet.
  2. I realize I have already made a show announcement, but I decided to change my mind. This time I would actually like to provide something tangible for anyone who cares, i.e. drill with synchronized music. Confederate Regiment brings from the silver screen to the football field one of the biggest blockbuster hits of cinematic history, and one of the biggest superhero icons in American pop-culture. This is not simply going to be a marching show with the batman theme plastered into it. No, this is going to be the greatest story-telling show since Phantom Regiment's "Spartacus." Confederate Regiment's "The Dark Knight" will feature the music from the actual soundtrack by Hans Zimmer and James Newman Howard. Details as to which pieces will be used will come later.
  3. Is there any requirements you need to host an event?
  4. 5. Are you the one that makes logos for everybody? You do a great job.
  6. Is choosing your captions the same in terms of spending so many points on each one?
  7. But he said Crimson Regiment is looking to bring home the A Class crown, and there is always a confusion between A Class and World Class.
  8. THAT'S INSANE! This sounds like it's way more fun.
  9. I joined DCPI for Season XIII, which, as you all know, was an off season. I have only done this for an off season, and I was wondering what to expect from my first live season. Besides the fact that it follows the actual DCI schedule, what sets live seasons apart from off seasons?
  10. When you say A Class, are you talking about Division I or Division III?
  11. I make one little wise-crack on one post and we're rivals? JEEZ! I'm just messin' with you. Actually, it will be fun to have a little rivalry going on. I also wish you the best of luck.
  12. This is kind of off-topic, but how do you get those images to appear in your signature?
  13. I'll need your email address if you want me to send you those songs. I'll have to listen to that song before I make a decision on it.
  14. I wouldn't be too sure of that. Confederate Regiment is extending its arm into both the Open and A Class scene this season, which means you're in trouble. Actually, I'm just kidding about that. But Crimson Regiment is an great name for a drum corps. It has a certain prestige about it.
  15. Do you want me to send you the mp3's or something?
  16. By the way, anyone who helps me would be more than welcome to any of these mp3's they want. They are marching band arrangements of the pieces, and they're sweet.
  17. After going through countless selections of music, I have finally compiled a list three outstanding candidates. However, I have no idea what to name the show, and I think I need one more song that's a little slower than the others. Here are the pieces I am using: City of Angels When A Man Loves A Woman Brick House If anyone can offer suggestions as to what I can name this show and/or what song I might add, please do so. I'm in the process of writing drill, and I can't finish until I have all four pieces. Thanks in advance.
  18. Cool picture and everything, but does it pertain to your upcoming show at all? By the way, do you have any idea when Season XIV starts?
  19. Confederate Regiment is from SOUTHERN Michigan. But Addison, their hometown, is about as redneck as you can get, minus the stereotypical incest, bad teeth, and lust for mouth-waterin' barbecue.
  20. I totally agree with what everyone else is saying here. Season XIII marked my first with DCP-I, and it's been pretty fun. I can tell the fantasy thing requires a lot of maintenance, and I thank you.
  21. Dude....Samurai was sweet. I thought that was far better than the Blue Devils "Constantly Risking Absurdity." Samurai certainly wasn't better than Phantom's "Spartacus," but it was pretty close. I loved the part in the closer where they have the five vertical lines, and they do that insane thing where they jump over each other (I don't know what you could call that), and then the Mellophone does the back-bend. One of the coolest visual effects I've seen in recent years.
  22. Well, it hasn't been a very continuous streak anyways. I probably should have said their streak of great performances. Every show they've done in recent years has been awesome, except for "The Great Divide."
  23. I haven't been an avid DCI fan for very long. In fact, my interest in the activity started in 2002 when I won a ticket to the Finals in a raffle. I thought it was fun to see all these awesome corps performing at their very best. But I wasn't truly amazed until the Cavaliers took the field and performed their show "Frameworks." I couldn't believe my eyes or ears. It was the most amazing thing I've ever been in the presence of. Since then, I have been a huge Cavaliers fan and an avid follower of DCI. That being said, I was horribly disappointed with their 2009 show, "The Great Divide." Seriously, what was all that about? I thought 4th place was generous. Needless to say, I'm a little skeptical as to whether or not the Green Machine can pull it off here in 2010. Does anyone by chance know what they have panned for this year? I love the Cavies, but I'm a little worried that their streak of glamorous victories is coming to an end. Could anyone possibly reassure me?
