  1. It's well written but I would like to take that final arc and launch into a Z Pull with the appropriate musical additions to just pull the crowd out of their seats. This show is awesome but there are more ooh and ahh moments. I want a big $@&?in WOW moment at the end. Blue is good but I want cream on top..
  2. Depends on what they will do musically. I wouldn't mind the Z pull.
  3. It takes multiple viewings to understand the demand. Watch some of the brass foot work. Lots of small but effective musical changes, extension of chords and an increase in tempos is making the show more emotional. Can't wait to see color pop from uni changes and final ending.
  4. They are extending the ending but wanted to get uniform changes in first. Not sure when it debutes .
  5. Wardrobe aside, she seems to score as she sees it. Not a BD hack.,....radar shows incoming enemy fire any minute now.
  6. The Cadets are in the present celebrating America's journey using quotes from Presidents mostly deceased. He is the Cadet in the foreground telling the story and should be in a Cadet uniform. I didn't like the house dress he was in before and I don't want any cheese added to the show by him being put into some hideous presidential costume.
  7. It's Blasphemy I tell you. Not sure what the motivation was. It's not as if the DM jumps into the show and needs to blend in..
  8. Amazing the effect of color. Can't wait to see this live..
  9. SCV slightly closed the gap between them and BD from first show so I would hardly call that a surge. Cavies came from behind PR and now is almost 2 points over them so I would say they are moving quicker of the two. After next weekend, maybe we can see a better trajectory for SCV. BK and Colts seem to be surging also.
  10. I'm sure it was released from the Dept. Of Propaganda deep in a bunker from the hills of PA.
  11. Going forward, Madison should return to their roots which is not rehashing music but rather their powerful brass, powerful percussion, artistic guard and they can play any style music.
  12. Good looking kid, glad they put in a Cadets uniform and got rid of the house dress. Great voice.
  13. I think they do a musical build up from arc, not finish there and Jay writes a fast paced compilation of the show music (think end of 2012 Christmas show), and gives Jeff the opportunity to write a great Cadets drill to seal the deal.
  14. I agree on your Cadets review. They need to get that new ending in pronto or at least clean that arc. What a train wreck last night.
  15. Probably my favorite part of the show. An artistic visual and musical demonstration on a chaotic horrible event. Most other writers would have MM's falling down on the field playing dead.
  16. Very unhappy with the feed not working, recaps not up.
  17. See, I happen to love the Midwest corps, (Cavies, PR, and Stars). They are great corps trying to be unique and do their thing. Some more successful than others but I don't let scores dictate my feelings. I recall the Cavies giving Cadets a big birthday cake for their 75th anniversary in 2009. Class.
  18. Well I agree some years the cheese whiz can kill the show. The dancers are representative of the "good times" after the depression and before the war so I get it. They have a minute to develop that before the show moves into the war so I understand it. The drill is the best out there, simply folds and unfolds. Jeff makes transitions look like art.
  19. I understand and trying to be funny. It's hard for me to comprehend a show that lost twice all season, can get hammered so much and so ruthlessly. Very rarely do you hear, yep they're good and can contend and they're in a good place. You would think they were clinging onto 6th place..
  20. DCP is funny though. Cadets suck, Cadets are clean but..., Cadets are clean and boring and will peak in June, I loved the Cadets so much last year and really love them but I hate them now, great show but I hate narration and won't watch them this year, or even next year because I hate hate them, Cadets are so boring and I hate them so much but I love (Spirit) this year and they are so great, Cadets show is so easy my 4th grade band can march it and it's so boring and I hate narration and GH, Cadets are so hard to watch because I can't concentrate on the show because that narrator just takes over the whole field and I can't concentrate, I fell asleep watching the Cadets because there so boring and I always love Cadets but I hate them now because I just hate hate hate them, and the stage is so big that I couldn't even see the show because it's so big and the narrator is a big fraud on that big stage and GH distracts me and I get dizzy and can't watch any shows after that. ( (So this is the summary of the Cadets 2014 thread). Did I miss anything?
  21. I agree but it gets infuriating, they crawl out of their caves, troll, and slither back into them. One thing I won't do is let the trolls and wretched fans of a corps tarnish my feeling about those corps and those great kids working so hard.
  22. Hate is such a strong adjective to describe a show. . The Cadets have a rich program with many technical nuances and are performing it relatively well although much work is to be done. I said it in June and I'll repeat, they should be top 2 in August.
  23. Good that you're saying this at 4am otherwise you would get blasted. They need to clean and all captions improve from there but the time is now as a Crown, Cadets and BD keep cleaning and getting better.
