  1. Crossmen Crossmen convoy negotiating the Eastern VA TRAFFIC on our way to the WARRENTON SHOW! Get it Bones! Does any one know if they were late? This one is about five hours old, just a guess with the previous tweet about them preforming being only three minutes old at the end of the show. I know dci will rearrange the order if someone is running late because of traffic or emergency.
  2. You get 160 characters(i think), like a text message, to twitter. Like a facebook, it is a social site. And it can be seen by the public if you choose and followers(like friends). the @ symbol tags the other twitter user, and the # is so tweeters can all tweet about the same thing, at least thats how i understand it. txgaldaisy: @Crossmen blow the house down in Warrenton #dci #contras 3 minutes ago

  7. Tweet from the show, just thought the dcpcommunity would like this one. Seeing the #drumcorps show in Lawrence. Does NOT make me miss marching band...But emphasises the importance of woodwind variety.

  11. Good thing this wasn't cancelled like the Hall of Fame game due to the lockout. Not that drum corps stops for anyone.
  12. I think that a great guard moment that should be mentioned as well is the foil flags Glassmen has. They add a sound and reflective texture that is cool and helps that portion of the show transition. All the others I have read are great too.
  13. Yes and Spirits go to 12. Wish it wasn't so loud cause it distracts from how loud the horns really are which is... LOUD!
  14. I like this idea, but use every corps. completely random order top to bottom. but that's a lot of money/time for just one show with all black uni's. And certain visuals wouldn't be the same (thinking of uni specific visuals, like cadets two different sets of uni's).
  15. It is Jubal's 100th anniversary. I wouldn't be surprised if they made the 25 cut that they wouldn't do both. They do prelims finals shows fairly regularly over in Europe. plus they would be on early enough in semis for that.
  16. Wouldn't sue... Passing the knowledge and gift of music education should be applauded.
  17. The Tiako drums? I made some of those at BGSU in college. They are really cool.
  18. Honesty the dynasty horns may not be all off the problems, it is a realtively young corps. But there is a reason that BD switched(or maybe several). I think that the precussion made by dynasty is amazing but the horns are meh. You can play loud on them but it takes alot of finess, and we will see what happens as they enter the later part of the season. I hope the get the go ahead to blow the house down. because the softs parts are great, but it seems like most want the louds even louder. I also think there is a small issue with the way brass is judged, with one judge on the field. I think that one on the field and one in the stands would be best, and I know that music ensemble covers most of the in the stands judging, because lets face it the majority of the ensemble is brass. They are the largest part in the corps and if they are not running on all cylinders niether is the corps. As we get close to the home stretch I hope the corps catches fire and they start laying it down and putting it out. I have all the faith in the staff and members that this can be done, and feel that they need our support as much as possible. The members need to "believe" and they will achieve what they want.
