Boston has historically put on some of my favorite shows, but I can’t say I’ve really loved any of them in this new era where they are competing at the top (including this year’s). But man … they are so freaking talented. The step up they’ve taken over the last five years is incredible and should be a model studied by all other WC corps looking to move up in the rankings. And they did it in the midst of a pandemic. Incredible.

The Flo sound is so bad tonight. Really frustrating.

Like it or not, I do think Blooo’s show has the best potential to beat BD if they can get it super clean. I don’t think they’ll get it all the way there, but I think the room to grow in this show is huge.

I don’t think I’ve ever said this before, but Blooo has my favorite show this year.

A very Cadets show … I love it (in spite of the uniforms).

I do have to say, the predominantly white uniforms do look great from the high cam angle.

This isn’t how athletes dress.

I wasn’t sold on Crown’s show the first couple times I saw it. I think I’m sold now. Love it!

The Wagner is so beautiful. Wish the Flo sound wasn’t so ###### tonight.

Does PC have its entire show on the field yet? In the Discord chat, several people thought their show was not complete yet (because it is short). I haven't seen that mentioned here though. It took BK a while to get their entire show on the field last year (if I remember right) and I think it is part of what caused them to struggle (amongst other things).

If you go off most recent scores (which I agree means absolutely nothing at this point), Mandarins would be in 5th ahead of PR and less than a point behind Crown.

i'm a BK homer, but not surprised at all that PC won tonight. It was well deserved. The margin may be a bit big, but I thought PC was better tonight.

Is the uniform change in BD’s show new? I don’t remember noticing it until tonight.

I’ve never seen a crowd get so into a Blue Devils show. I love this show so much. The ballad is insane. Glad I got to see it in person. I think it’s gonna be a historic, or close to historic, year for BD. Amazing show!

Most of the time it’s been Academy

It took me a while to get into PC’s show this season, but after just seeing it in person, I’m sold. They seemed like a clear step up from Academy. Say what you want about trombones, but the trombone feature in the ballad was gorgeous in person. BK better be watching it’s back.

They seem to be scrolling through different logos on the screen.

I don't know how anyone can dislike this Blue Devils show. It's got so many great moments, and this is the ballad of the year for me for sure.

Mandarins are outstanding. Enjoy it more each time I see it.

Can't wait to see Mandarins in person this week. First time going to a live drum corps show since 2012.

I think it starts out pretty good, and the ending is nice, but yeah ... there's a lot of time there in the middle that needs a lot of work.

This already seems like a huge improvement over their performance a couple nights ago. This show is such an improvement over last year's.

The weather has been super mild this summer on the west coast too, so it can't have been because of the temperature.
