Man, I love that Cavies opener! Reminds me a lot of their style in the 90s

The opener is pulled off with quite a bit of panache - and they manage to make it not come across as too cheesy

The Academy has a phenomenal drill program this year. It just flows really well, lots of good transitions, excellent staging, achievable for the members, and all-around nice to look at. Nothing groundbreaking, but definitely a big strength for them this year!

They pulled out of the show due to sickness among the corps members.

Good job tonight BAC. I really like the ending musically, but from a visual perspective the drill leaves a lot to be desired. The initial opening also needs some work. The solo conquest calls are a good idea, but they remain out of tune and get too muddled too quickly, then the first big impact comes rather abruptly. Overall, though, I really like what they've done with the show. Keep pushing BAC!!

I really like some of the changes that have been put in place over the past few weeks. Excited to see BAC tonight on the Atlanta webcast!

Great show, and I thought the DCI live stream was pretty excellent. Great quality (video & audio) and just a few hiccups. Scores are definitely interesting...but just reaffirmed my belief that we have a top 4, with SCV in 5th. I think if BK really cleans and maxes out their show they could potentially give SCV a run for their money (something I definitely would love to see). Congrats to Crown for the jump up, BD on re-taking 1st, BK for the commanding 6th place finish, and everyone else for strong performances.

Cavaliers hornline is definitely a step up from last year, but the overall show I feel is a step down (except for that wonderful opener). I hope (and believe) BK will end up ahead of them come finals if they clean the visuals.

I really dig the Cavaliers' opener. Reminds me a lot of the stuff they did in the mid-90s (that's a good thing for the most part).

The re-designed ending needs some work still. Overall, though, it's pretty clear BD does not want to make this too easy for the Cadets!!

I guess I'm in the minority here but I see SCV as a clear #5 - not on the same level as the 4 corps ahead of them, design or performance-wise. Hornline sounded really rough tonight, the drill is so dense it borders on unreadable at times, and the horn book is imo, Shaw at his worst. Thematically, though, I really like the show. Good use of electronics too.

I don't feel that was Crown's strongest run, and I don't think their show is championship caliber (primarily due to the visual program and the closer). But man, do they SELL it. The ballad is simply amazing.
