Sunrisers are doing the Pepsi refreshes thing ,along with Arkansas Thunder and a few others ,I also recall YEA being listed there ,so my question why not DCA? Push for a grant of $50,000.00 or more then maybe a regional could be held some where outside the NE.

Financially not sure many if any corps can travel very far today ,cost of buses and gas is killing everyone .And has taken a toll on all drum corps .Money for gas to get to rehersal and back most corps don't reherse in your back yard .Alot of the corps charge memmbers money to ride the buses today.Not easy any more to belong to this hobby ,used to be you walked to rehersal .Corps paid for the bus ,and if you had a nice driver you took up a collection for them.Not the same world most of us grew up in .I would guess to say most corps try for DCA championships .That there claim to fame ,but to go traveling every weekend like we used to ,thoses days are gone .

Another Thank you its always great to hear an honest review of any given show.

How much longer will DCI stay there ,its really not a great place for drum corps .Having been there once with the sound bouncing off the back walls i would never go back.I like to seat as high up as i can ,and i recall the same problem in philly with seating in the lower tier that far back .So the next time i went i bought the second tier no back wall ,much better sound .

I had the bussiness manager of the Buccaeers write some nasty #### to me .I don't do corps reviews so why my writtings got him all up set i don't know .I have always had a lot of repect for that corps ,but i don't for the management after that .

Would have been nice if So.Cal. Dream ,Vililantes and Sun Devils plus Gulf Coast Sound that would bring the total up to 26

if you go back through the years ,yes the northeast was a hot bed of senior corps .Thats why its still the number on area of the country for All- Age Corps to complete .When i was a kid going to the New York State American Legion show was like going to nationals ,so many junior and senior corps .New York state no longer has a big name junior ,not even sure if or now many juniors are left in the state.Most where feeder corps for the seniors ,now its high school bands .A summer contest schel. would be Hamden Ct .6/1 Hurcs show Stradford Ct. 6/6 Ct,Yankees show Boston 6/13 Mission Drums Brigs Show 6/20 Bridgeport 6/27 Barum and thats just June 5 contest add Grand Prix Lewisburg Reading Srcanton Johnstown Province the list just goes on ,not so much anymore PS i think MD will do very well its a new place for the fans to visit both north n south .plus what ever they can draw local. Plus next year Kids Grove will be back and you also have the Cadet2 entering the mix . Question how do most feel about the fact that Kids Grove gets a vote ?

Sunrisers years ago traveled out to Chiagio for a contest ,and have been in the Shenandoah held show a few times ,Im sure they might have been invited back again this year.But this is a new corps building back up,with little or no backing { money wise no dues its free to the member ship ] Doing car washes to raise money to complete .Not sure that money is a problem for other corps but till Sun is back on there feet im sure they will be staying close to home .
