I think this is a good post. I know what MLG is and how they run things and I think its brilliant. DCI always seems 1 step behind everything else

It's not that people hate their show more than other years (Personally this is my favorite of the past 3 years of them) but the other shows are just THAT good this year.

You sound pretty jaded too Mr. BD Alum In my post I said "Who's to say they aren't wrong?" and I'm right. Just because they wear the green polo and khackis doesn't qualify them for being "Right" whatever "Right" may be. I'm asking in generality "Who's to say....?" I guess there isn't any higher then the judges so the only people left to give criticism is the fans. Hell the judges know more than me, but I'm going to drop my 2 cents in if anyone cares or not. I really want to like BD. They are the most talented in DCI. I just have many things that need to be cleared up before they are my favorite. And yes, I TRIED to stay as unbiased as possible for my "Scores". I'm sure a little crept in somewhere, but that's overall what I feel.

I made a summary not a review. The reason I did have BD below Cavies and SCV was because their book was not as demanding and to my (not very trained percussion ear. But enough to tell cleanliness) They were all about AS equal cleaning wise. But their book wasn't close. What's the tie breaker? The book. I apologize. I didn't mean the drum line was a joke. Using joke was an exaggeration anyways.

Ok glad we are on the same page. I didn't mean to come across as the "High and Mighty God of Judge from Heaven" I'm just a bit annoyed right now. And about your other post: Not that it's a bad thing. But you are in a minority, a small one at that. It doesn't mean your wrong, but I based my statement on the majority. The consensus is that the favorite shows from the past years have NOT been BD's. Nor have they been the most memorable.

I said IMO. I don't claim to have more credentials than the staff. But who's to say they aren't making the wrong decisions? After all we support a subjective activity. Anyways, I KNOW I have a majority of people on my side about BD. Even if I'm approaching the issue in a classless manner, I could really care less. It's getting to the point where no one is going to remember the Gold medalist show because they don't do memorable/emotional shows. Sure they get enshrined in the archives but people will remember the feelings they got from Cadets, Cavies, Crown, and Phantom. Sure this is premature, as we have 2 weeks left. I'm just waiting for it to happen again though. Sure wish the design staff would stop wasting talent because they could be a 1st place winner all the time with most of the fans on their side.

Ok that's easy. I'll tell you where BD should be across the board. IMO Visual GE: 3rd behind Cavies and Cadets Music GE: 3rd behind Cadets and Crown Visual: I'd say this is the most appropriate. They cleaned what they have. Straight 1st Brass: 2nd, granted they mostly played while standing still or in half time. Granted, they have a very talented brass line. Ensemble Music: 4th behind Crown, Cadets, Cavies Perscussion: This was the biggest joke to me. Cleanest drum line? Nope. They are sitting around 3rd IMO. Sum all that up I'd say they are sitting right at 3rd. A good bit ahead of Crown. Close to 2nd, but a point or more away from 1st. EDIT: Bolded for you

Sorry if im tired of 5 years straight of BD winning Atl. Some were deserved some werent. This wasnt one of them. Vote my rep down if you want i wont be classy again until i see the right top 3 placements. Cadets are hauling ### and pulling it off for the most part and of course they get the short end of the stick. Typical. Same with Cavies

Sorry guess im classless. Sue me. I have nothing against the talented Corps members, just judging issues.
