Starting my drum corps season extremely out of shape did not help. I showed up to spring training a whopping Four hundred and Eight pounds, Everything was going bad for me. I had diabetes issues, Asthma, Tendinitis, and i eventually developed Rhabdomylosis from marching contra. I eventually got pink eye and had the most miserable rehearsals ever. After we ended the season early at teal, my mom rushed me to the hospital and i got all my problems fixed. But marching at 400 pounds was not a good idea. I don't regret it one bit.

Yeah I never got around to getting patches at shows. Anyone know where I can get them?

I am still surprised that i am about to start my summer journey. I have packed all that i think i need, but im sure I missed some stuff. Can some veterans of the activity tell me some stuff I might need that is out of the ordinary? P.S. Thanks to all of my doubters, you gave me the drive to continue. Proving you wrong was my goal.

I play on a Jupiter contra and I love it. Sure, it's huge, but it is easy to play and has good handholds.

Teal sound is looking for prospective members to fill the hornline! Every sections has openings but tuba. If you are Interested please message me or reply to the thread for details!

My next goal is to get through the next camp without adjusting my arms to deal with the pain of that Jupiter contra!

But you could count the prodigies on your hands. Be realistic. I'm not putting anybody down. It's like a 16 year old tuba player starting at the coats. It's not impossible, just improbable.

I think two of the spirit cuts are contracted at teal. I was told by a staff member that I was good enough to make the line at colts, but it is really all about convienence. I was told I was good enough to land a spot at the troopers. But again, I don't hold the money in this, and it boils down to money. I have friends at Teal Sound. All I want to do is perform and make someone happy somewhere. I don't care where I place. As long as I meet good friends and enjoy my summer, the spot in Semis means nothing to me.
