Not quite sure how old he is, but Bill Hoyt (bari, Hurcs) is currently in his 50th consecutive season. Had a hip replaced a few years back if I'm not much mistaken - marched through it

I hear the show this year is going to be a big HIT!

UMass Amherst has extensive staff and students who have participated in DCA/DCI. Thom Hannum, Colin McNutt, and many visual staff members have all worked with top twelve corps. Not to mention most of the battery has marched DCI (as mentioned in the prior post)

I'm in North Jersey roughly NW of NYC. At about 2:30 it's still just a bad rainstorm, but the area that used to be the eye is still way south of us. From what my grandparents in NC have told me, the Outer Banks bore the brunt of it and she blew out considerably over land. Quite a sight seeing a video of my favorite fishing pier there one minute and gone the next! Best of luck to everyone south of the Mason-Dixon line, stay safe guys!

Not saying that was a bad show. I just wish they would have stopped jabbering and played drum corps!

I think it's cheap to add an age restriction to a corps competing in the all age circuit. If they wanted a weekend warrior corps for youth who might not be able to make the full time commitment or didn't make their world class corps, they could just as easily form an open class corps. Showdown between Cadets 2, BDB, Oregon Crusaders, and Vanguard Cadets? I'd pay to see that! Plus I'm temtped to say they'd try to pull another "This I Believe"
