  1. Windy City Legion will not be a competitive corps this season, but we will be active. We will at the very least have a mini corps and parade corps and possibly a seperate drumline and training guard. We have our first performance coming up in Elmhurst, I'll on June 23. The show will be hosted by SDCA and the Royal Aires(?).
  2. Celebrating our inaugual season, the excitement and anticipation continues to build as fans and prospective members eagerly await the dawn of Chicago's Premiere Drum and Bugle Corps. Honoring the past, present and future of American civilization, Windy City Legion is proud to present our 2012 Production: Life, Liberty and The Pursuit of Happiness The corps will be lead by co-founders Bobby Bonslater as Corps Director and William Hampton as Business Manager. Bonslater and Hampton will work alongside acknowledged drum corps veterans such as Larry Pawlowski who will serve as Board President and Paul Chaffee who will advise the corps Development and Operations. Bonslater will also lead the Educational and Design Team as Program Coordinator. Joining the Design Team from California will be Roger Carter, James Doyle from Oklahoma and John Brennan from Ohio. On Saturday, November 19, 2011, Windy City Legion will kick off the 2012 season with an Open House at Northside College Prep High School at 5501 N Kedzie Ave. in Chicago, Illinois. Open House events will commence at noon and end at 5pm. Come greet and meet the staff and administration and get the scoop on the 2012 season. If you are interested in learning more about Drum Corps and Windy City Legion this is a great weekend to attend. Please fill out an RSVP, to help us better prepare for the event.   7. Windy City Legion is a new all-age drum and bugle corps in the process of preparing for their first year. We are currently looking for new members as well as staff!!! Open staff positions available: Choreographers Technical Staff (Weapons) Technical Staff (Flag) Technical Staff (Dance) Requirements (Not necessary, but preferred): At least one year of teaching/teching/choreographing Color Guard Knowledge of at least one piece of equipment Be personable and approachable For those interested in choreography positions: You do NOT have to attend all rehearsals You may be requested to write one, or all, pieces of equipment Please keep in mind these positions can blend and separate into each other.   9. Since I'm not a DCP moderator, I can't answer your question. I posted here for two reasons: 1) advertise openings on our staff and to 2) generate publicity to our website, and it obviously worked since you were able to browse the website and discover we intend to participate in DCA
