  1. The corps ahead of them are better. Pretty simple explanation. They're also going through a staff change, losing one of the best visual designers in the activity, and doing a show that is off the beaten path from their normal style. They'll be back. Never fret, kiddies.
  2. I would rather the roof stay closed. That way, when a corps gets to their first impact, the sound is channeled and a reaction such as this occurs:
  3. I realize that DCI is trying to get people into the stadium... trust me, I'd love to be there. However, the expenses involved, as some have mentioned, are borderline too much. I'm a Live subscriber on Fan Network, so I never have to get the PPV for each webcast. I believe they're $29.95 each, although correct me if I'm wrong. I would be more than willing to pay $50-$80 for a finals night webcast. I think DCI needs to look into some more outlets for finals in the coming years, especially with economy the way it is. It's kind of a slap in the face that you have to get your results and commentary from blogs, Twitter, and friends who are there, since there it no other way to see it for yourself.
  4. I mean, there are certain things that occur to suggest that, but at the end of the day, everyone is interested, performing, and works in this activity because they enjoy it. I guess it depends on how you're looking at the goal of the activity. To provide a quality arts education? No bias. Results? Possible bias.
