Hey guys, im looking at flying into Indy tomorrow afternoon (3ish), and I need to get to SCV's housing site which is 18 miles away. I know I could contact the corps, but thats the last thing I want to do, because they are very busy as it is. Anyone gonna be in town, willing to help? Thanks!

hmmm I have proof. I worked for DCI's marketing team in 2006, and can completely attest that they bust their ###'s to give the fans what they want. They have no control over any numbers, corps, whatever. And like the other poster said, they never even get to see the shows!

Good job discrediting the performers, by chalking up their achievements to a "marketing scheme". Thats just bull. 11 different judges put down a single number which averages to their score. There is no conspiracy involved in that.

Ya I just looked that up too. The location, and the layout looks the same, but the interior dosent. I dont know if they have since remodeled or what. But I def remember things on the wall in 2006.

I need your guy's help. In 2006 after the Indy regional, and bunch of the staff from the DCI offices went to a restaurant/bar/dinner thing in downtown Indy that was actually owned by a drum corps guy. There were cymbals, zildjian flags, and pictures all over the walls. They had really good food, and even served beer way passed 2am. Does anybody know where im talking about? I would really like to go back there this week at some point. Name, location?

The only show we have out of state is finals. We also have a very decent group that comes from Sac every weekend... what about carpooling with them? just a thought.

It really doesent matter where you place...trust me. I was a member of the Crossmen in 2005, who didnt make finals for the first time in a very long time. I had my heart set on being in a top 12 Drum corps the entire season... I wanted to march on Saturday. But when we walked off the field on Friday night, knowing that was our last performance, we all cried like little babys. Not because we didnt make it, but because the pressure was finally off our shoulders, and what we worked on every hour of every day for 3 months was now over, And we were never going to perform together as a group again. So just live it up, and give it all you've got. In the end, its the memories that will last. Spirit, I got mad love for you. And if Xmen keep that 12th spot, I would hope we would repay what you did for us in 2005.

DCI does have a membership into the music rights company (ascap? something like that), and as long as its on the list of approved music, they can use it. I can personally guarantee that they check into this, before posting anything on their site. Personal opinions are one thing, but dont try to make it seem like they are doing something illegal.

Um I have no idea what your talking about. I think its pretty safe to say the Renegades are one of the most original, unique corps to hit the field. And trying to act "cool" like VK? Have you seen a Renegades show? BD= cool VK= Fun Renegades= Evil. I would say those are 3 complete different things there. But thats just me. And actually all arrangements we play are re-worked in house, and definitely have the Renegades twist added to them. Trust me, you dont want to start bringing up corps who play rip-offs of other peoples shows... because oh, we have material for days on that subject.
