1. Cabs 83.20 2. Fusion 78.90 3. Bush 75.45 4. Hurcs 73.25 5. Sky 68.90 I'm expecting low scores for Bush, Sky, and Hurcs being this is their first time out. I think Cabs will make a big jump this week (heard they didn't do well in Bayonne so I think they'll be pushing hard to make up ground) and I think Fusion will make steady progress climbing up and cleaning.

I also think a lot of you are missing a bigger point about C2. The cost. Their tuition is significantly higher than other organizations like Bucs or Cabs. Last I saw it was $1600 whereas Bucs and Cabs are around $800. Why would I pay more for a corps that places lower? Especially when there are plenty of corps to choose from in the area. Not to mention these kids still need to pay for gas, food, etc to get there. I think that's why they have membership issues.

That's pretty cool. Are they in the same section/line? I think Cabs will also be the clear winner and since I'm a fan of upsets I think Fusion will beat Cadets2.

Ask the majority of the people in the stands and they would agree. People were confused that they lost. And yes, judges are always right so thank god for them. *please note the sarcasm about the judges*

If I was personally attacking someone that would be one thing. However, I don't like the CONCEPT of the sideline soloist. Frank, I have always known the Cabs to be a classy organization, so it doesn't surprise me they would design a show to keep you active in the corps. Not to mention the overall design of the show is fantastic. I'm excited to see it develop over the next 2 months or so.

Again, this isn't a slight on Frank. He's only been doing it 2 years. Empire has done it over 10 years and I hated it then too.

I am by no means an expert reviewer or professional musician or whatever so I'll leave just a few points I saw from an old low brass players perspective.. 1. Cabs should have won hands down. It was very apparent from the stands who the winner was, too bad the judges didn't agree. 2. Cabs tubas are once again a powerhouse. They weren't clean this show but they have a lot of 16th note runs and a much harder book than the Bucs tubas, when I could hear the Bucs tubas. So thank you for going the harder route and not the easier one like most corps. 3. Cabs had a lot of spacing issues visually. But they weren't bumping into each other like Bucs were. 4. Cabs uniform change. First change since they were founded perhaps? Mid show none the less. Pretty cool effect. 5. Bucs show didn't impress me musically. But I'll chalk that up to being the first show. Cabs had their own issues too. Some missed releases and spreading of tones through both corps 6. I hate sideline screamers/soloists. No offense to Ponzo, he sounded great. I hated it when Empire always did it and now Cabs have done it two years in a row. In conclusion, Cabs should have won. Stupid politics in judging. Cabs are much better prepared than I have ever seen them. I don't think it's so much that Bucs are slipping but more so that Cabs have significantly stepped up their game.

Anyone wanna do a review? I missed all of Windsor and some of Fusion otherwise I'd do it.

Yeah I think the decision was clearly "political" or whatever other term one could use. Cabs were the clear winner and it sucks those members weren't rewarded for it properly. Hopefully it drives the organization to work harder to make it so obvious the judges can't get away with that crap again. The uniform change is a very very cool effect.

Yeah I personally think Cabs were much better in just about every category except percussion. I think the judges weren't ready to let the blue team lose to someone yet, especially the red/white team....or should I say black/black now? I'm just glad it wasn't a blowout like last year.

While I generally agree with this statement, it's hard to say the same thing for this year when the first show hasn't even happened. The Cabs closed the gap to under 2 points overtaking MBI which is always in the running. My point is, I wouldn't count Cabs or MBI out of first place just yet. All it takes is for them to do a few more things right in the beginning of the season and bam they have it. Plus I've heard of retention problems at Bucs (I have no way of proving that just the general gossip through the circuit). I'm pulling for either MBI or Cabs for the win. Wildwood is in 2 days. We'll see what happens. I still think Cabs will eek out a very narrow win this Saturday by only a couple tenths. I only say that because I don't want a 5 point spread like last years show lol

DCP has basically become irrelevant, that's why only the 8-10 of us are the only ones who post. I follow a bunch of the corps on their various public facebook groups and they all seem pretty excited.

I've been hearing a lot of hype and I'm hoping it's true. I'm ready for a good season of drum corps!

One week to go. What are you guys most excited about?

I'm looking forward to a good show. Excited to see what Bucs and Cabs are doing this season

I think until DCA gets its "prestige" level to that of DCI and WGI this will continue to be a problem. Unfortunately that's what happens when a circuit is regulated to basically the Mid-Atlantic region

Getting back on topic.... I wish more corps were turning out for Wildwood

1. Hawthorne Caballeros - 80.35 2. Reading Buccaneers - 80.20 3. Fusion Core - 74.80 4. Windsor Regiment - 68.40 I don't know how realistic Cabs pulling ahead of Bucs is, I'm just hoping for closer competition this year instead of a 5 point spread like last year.

I don't know about you guys but I want this season to start already so I can see some of these shows. I've been hearing a lot of good things out of quite a few corps
