  1. Drumcorpsfever...unless they score better, they are still the weak link of the corps. Crown has peaked at the wrong time and they are losing scoring ground. Kudos to the brass and guard both talent and instruction wise. They could still medal, but the design needs to evolve more.
  2. If DCI can't be fun, then what is the freaking point, people!!!!!!!!!!!!? This is a serious problem with some Corps. They have sticks stuck up their bums.
  3. That is in no way surprising, flammaster. It is just a matter of time before BDB makes finals.
  4. Not Carolina Crown. Definitely not the member's lack of talent.
  5. I won't open the door, corpsband. I don't feel like fielding comment criticism today.
  6. Drum Man TX, your comments point to a now historically issue with Crown, namely Design. This staff generally has difficulty putting together all the pieces necessary for a championship contending show. They still have time to get the design together, and can make some drastic changes, before they run out of time, but I'm not sure they can get the gold at this point and over take better show designs at this point. But, man, the members attack this show and play it intensely and enjoyably.
  7. Just watched Crown's Minnesota performance. The members are performing this show sooo well.
  8. I couldn't tell, corpsband. Was the comment by jonwoody meant to be antagonistic?
  9. Thank you, defeldus. Evidently, seen doesn't understand how bad design can and does lead to lower performance morale. It has nothing to do with talent. And, make no mistake, last year show was a bad design. Fortunately, Crown, at least for now, has learned from its misstep.
  10. I agree, super. This show is building correctly to peak at the right time. The members are performing this show like they want to win this year.
  11. Agreed, yogitom. Crown is going to have to work on this show till the end to have a chance at placing 1st.
  12. I absolutely agree with corpsband. The members are playing this show with a significant passion.
  13. And percussion...the seeming Achilles heel once again :(.
  14. I completely disagree Lincoln. The members do not get paid. The staff generally does. When the "kids" start to get paid to be in a particular drum corps, then we can start to critique them by name.
  15. 31rabbit. If the members can optimally perform their show, you should care about the façade of how uniforms are folded? Appearance over substance is a problem, not a solution.
  16. Seen-it-all. From what I understand, this soloist had consistently played this particular solo well the entire season, except this one performance. The staff made the right choice and the soloist had one bad performance.
  17. Yeah, Cappy. One cannot really criticize the members at all, because the staff makes the decision give people membership as well as to how to use the member talents. Staff are totally to blame for whatever decision are made on the logistic sides of show creation and evolution.
  18. Yes, Eleran, it is. It is the staff's decision to use this member's voice. Staff make the decisions, not the members.
  19. I never criticize the marching members. They pay for the experience. The staff is paid, under most circumstances. It is a job for them and they should be held to a high standard.
  20. I agree Cappy and George. The show needs continual additions to prevent a peak at the wrong time.
  21. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!! tmac. They need to get more scarey with everything.
